Hey adidas88 I thought I told you before I have cheonged BKK intensively for 5 years?

I'd still like to visit BKK every once in a while for R&R and settle some work matters. The reason I want to travel often (besides work) is because I tend to overspend when I cheong in Singapore.

I think the shopping is so much better in ZH because you can find the clothings you want. Not in BKK though.

If not mistaken , the trains run till 11+pm and I would still stick to it unless they close for the day. Sukhumvit traffic is a nitemare even after midnite. Just remember to bring a hotel name card so your driver knows where you are staying if you cant speak thai or too drunk!

Bangkok Train Map Bangkok Skytrain - BTS -Stations, map, fares, shuttle bus, tickets

Closest BTS to chinatown is the last stop , Hua Lamphong. There are basically major 3 gogo areas at the moment ; Nana , Patpong and Cowboy.

Actually the MPs are about the same distance to chinatown as nana. Stop at Huai Kwang (i think!)

Soi Cowboy - Stop at Asoke Station
Nana - Stop at (believe it or not!) Nana Station
Patong - Not sure , I never liked patpong coz of the nite market

Remember if going from Hua Lamphong to Nana , you change trains at Asoke

Re: Dedicated to BKK's a-go-go recommendations

Out of the sudden, I have this crazy idea of having a 1-month long holiday in BKK. Anyone can advice where to get cheaper accomodation for a month? I think stay hotel for 1 month would be out of my budget. This plan of mine not going to implement so soon, probably only go next june or so. Just wanna gather some information and to do some research.

Yoz, bro. 800 baht per night considered ok? If ok for you, can try MuangPhol Mansion.

Nothing wrong with MuangPhol. If can stay ulu, there's a place near Sutthisan MRT 600/night. Looks OK from outside ..

More central, Bourbon St has monthly rate, <1000 baht a night. Bourbon Street Restaurant, Bar&Boutique Hotel
There was a complimentary condom included among the snacks, so I think they're GF.

Re: Dedicated to BKK's a-go-go recommendations

Bro Motard

There are many apartment-hotels around Ratchada that ask about 600baht a nite. But when you are booking for 1 month, the rate drops alot.
The rooms are usually quite big, and they are cleaned on a daily basis.

Many working ladies/girls stay in these apartment buildings in this area, so apart from the good location (ratchada), the affordable room rate, you will also get the chance to get to know these chics. I have witnessed girls coming out of the lift, and walking straight across the Soi to work in Copacabana.

You can start looking on Soi 17, right next to Poseidon, walking down the lane there are at least 3 such apartment buildings. The one I stay most often is Watana Mansion. This even has a swimming pool for you to cool yourself during hot bangkok days.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

The good old days when it's only THB500 per nite is gone.

I forgot to add, I looking for accomodation at convenient location either in Ratchada or Sukhumvit area. Budget not more than 15,000B/month (if possible). I don't need serviced apartment. Thanks.

I'll see how it goes, thanks for the recommendations.

I am quite surprised that they are now charging 700B/night. Unless they refurbished the rooms, I wouldn't be too keen on staying there on my next trip.

When I stayed there, I found the condition of the room to be no-no, however given the rates. Who's to complain?

Why stay in Chinatown unless your company insists to put you up there. Chinatown is boring. Expensive food, fake shark's fin and birdnest. Haha.

There's Texas Soapy Massage in Chinatown. Not sure if it's still in business. Closer to Hua Lamphong Train Station there's a soapy MP also. Signage in Thai. Girls are low quality. However in this area the prices are quite cheap. FLs peddle their wares in the vicnity of the MP also. Damn cheap but never tried before.

MORAL OF THE STORY. CHINATOWN IS BORING.

SOI COWBOY, NANA PLAZA, PATPONG. ANG MOH PARADISE. BORING. OVERPRICED.

THB600 (Barfine) + THB2000 (ST) = THB2600/S$110.00

No need to fly to BKK. Might as well pay double session for Geylang Cat50. Still left balance of S$10.00 for taxi fare.

Above are just my personal opinions. No offence.

It's THB650. Getting more and more expensive. Every year or so increase by THB50. Watana Mansion has the right to be cocky because they are sitting on a gold mine.

Certain floors have better rooms. Overall an outdated old building that needs renovation. Would not have any business if not for its good location and close proximity to 3 MPs especially the holy temple Poseidon. You've not been in BKK unless you've been to the Poseidon. Still can remember my first visit. My jaws !
