However, their parents may feel abit paiseh to see you because in indonesia cewek get married at a very young age say 16 - 20 years old.

So each generation gap on the average should be about 20-22 years of age.

Therefore if your cewek is in her 20s then her parents should be about in their 40s. Then imagine if you meet their parents who are one generation younger than you and because she is your sayang and you follow her to call her parents papa/mama or bapak/ibu, her parents maybe will feel abit embarassed....

However they will be very please to see you because their daughter manage to catch a big fish or golden tortoise (金龟婿)...hehehe

as long the orang tua is not in batam or jkt, there is no harm meeting them. First trip there, they wont ask for anything. Most kampong old ppl, all very humble, you will be treated like VVIP there, even you dont give them anything.

I was invited to indramayu, bogor and banten in west java, ajibarang and puwokerto in central java and manado in north sulawesi but only visited once only - my ex-maid girlfriend kampong near Bogor which is slightly south of jakarta.

Indeed Indonesian kampong people are known to be kind, hospitable, treat guests with warmth and generosity. Perhaps it is in their culture that they treat every individual with respect.

I wasn't asked by my ex-gf for any money when I visited her parents, however I still did give them some money as a token of appreciation for their hospitality.

However I didn't stay there as their house wasn't really big enough therefore have to stay in the hotel in bogor city.

Indeed kampong lifestyle is very relaxing, very different from the hectic city life.

You are rite, as long as her orang tua is not from big cities, your wallet won't be sucked dry....

Saw someone mention it in the first few hundred page of this thread but he didn't specific where and he say it cost about 1.8juta? at 2007/2008.

Nagoya square is located where hotel lailai/ goldbird are. Could it be the walking gals at lorong 15 you are refering to is at jodoh square instead ?

My friend told me that there was one street known as the Lorong Mornìng Bekrì where all the streetwalkers cewek will roam about when night falls or the time immediately after sunset.

Best hotel? Very subjective. Ultimately depend on your budget.

Best hotel for $200 budget a night cheongster?
Best hotel for $500 budget a night cheongster?
Best hotel for $1,000 budget a night cheongster?

Another point to note, it is very highly unlightly the hotel will allow 4pax to stay overnight in the room/suite. Unless you're staying in 2 bedroom units. Or unless you pay for "additonal bed". But usually they dun check, unless the noise you make warrants a complain from the guest next door.

Within Nagoya area, iHotel should be the most expensive and it is very difficult to book even with corporate account. You needa book at least 2 weeks in advance to have high chance to secure a room. But I dun think they've Jacuzzi in the room though. The do have one on the swimming pool deck, with hot water.

Another one is the old Mandarin during the casino days (now called Goodway). Their presidential suite has very BIG jacuzzi, can easily accomodate MFF. The price was $1,200++ a night, but this was way back in 2004. But do note that Batam hotels wear and tear VERY FAST, and they're not the best people in keeping a hotel well-maintained.

The BCC Hotel premiere suits does have a jacuzzi, but the size is only only for one person. In fact it is smaller than a normal bath tub. Location wise, slight outside Nagoya, at Penuin/Baloi area.

Outta town, you can try Harmoni One located at Batam Centre. Their deluxe rooms have a BIG tub (something like Japanese bath type) which can accomodate at least 2 pax. When standing up, the water can reach waist level.

Another point to note. Most up market hotels in Batam have 2 prices (local and foreigner), and of course more expensive ($10-30) for foreigners. It helps to have a Batam KTP or KITAS or Indo Passport, or a local friend that can use his/her identity to check-in. But since you touch on the most expensive hotel, I don't see a point in saving this kinda amount which not even amount to tips.

1.5 Juta and above but good quality. Last time I went with some family friends so couldn't cheong. But planning to pick up next time.
