We headed to this place called Young's. As expected it wasn't that crowded and we got a seat on the outside, ordered some pizza, some pasta, a sharing platter and to my surprise, an entire bottle of Moscato.

Me: You ok to drive after this?

M: I'll be fine.

We ate and chatted, and I wisely steered away from outright asking what happened. He only mentioned that Korea was cold, but fun, and of course they had tons of sex with each other there, which kind of made me a little envious considering my current situation. But upon returning, both Jasmine and Mark decided that it was best that they take a break from everything that was happening. It wasn't a break up, but they would minimize contact with each other for the time being outside of work.

So he had moved back to his parents place in the mean time.

Knowing that he was driving, I took it upon myself to drink more of the bottle, essentially limiting him to 2 glasses of Moscato, probably just at the limit, but it pays to be safe not sorry right? But Mark could tell what I was trying to do.

M: I'm really fine to drive you know?

Me: But you probably shouldn't.

M: I've done worse.

Me: That's not the point though is it?

M: I'm getting another bottle.

Me: Seriously?

M: Well, worst case I'll just leave the car here and take a Grab back.

Me: I don't remember you drinking a lot.

M: I don't. But I know my limits. I still can drive, trust me.

Me: Suit yourself then. I can drink. I'm not driving.

M: Go ahead.

Soon a third bottle appeared and I was suddenly thankful that I was working from home the next day.

Me: Aren't you working tomorrow?

M: I am.

Me: It's getting late.

He looked at his watch.

M: It's only 10.

Me: Haven't you had enough?

M: Food? Or drinks?

Me: I'm woozy already. And honestly already in the right state of mind to let you have your way with me. Thanks to the Moscato of course.

M: Haha. Please don't.

Me: Why not?

M: You won't like it. Too small for you.

Me: I knew it!

M: What?

Me: You have self-esteem issues because of your size!

M: I don't.

M: Look, I just want to take a break from all this. Away from Jasmine, away from Alicia, away from Shirlyn, away from Nat and everyone else who just wants to have sex.

Me: Well, ok. Shouldn't be too hard. You didn't really strike me as a hyper sexual person anyway.

M: Are you one?

Me: I'm not sure. I do enjoy sex with the right people. There's this connection that goes beyond physical. When too many people are involved, I think it just becomes physical. Then again, I'm not the best judge of this given my history. But it's how I feel now.

M: So you sort of understand what I'm going through I guess.

M: There's a connection with Jasmine. I felt it long before we even had sex.

M: It's not that. I mean, we've already tried being non-monogamous and it sort of works out. It's just me. I don't think I want that for the rest of my life.

Me: And she does?

M: So it seems.

Me: And what's so bad about that? I'm pretty happy where I'm at with my current arrangement. Other than I still feel Mike spends too much time on his computer.

Me: Of course he is. Well, maybe not now cos he's sick. But how can anyone play so much computer games? It doesn't seem healthy. Escape from reality he says.

Anyway, Mark is sure one very confused, low self esteem person. Very soft and sensitive inside.
