Joanne left me and joined Christina in the living room, I carried in unpacking the food and I would steal glance at Christina. I could not hear their conversation, all I saw during my glances was Joanne and Christina nudging each other. But Joanne soon came back to me, pushing Christina in front of her.

Joanne: Christina, wants to say something to you.

Christina: Lawrence, I still like you, but I need some time to think about us.

Me: So.......?

Christina: Let me have some time, I will give you an answer when I come back next month.

In my mind, this was the best outcome, allowing Christina to think about it until she comes back was to my advantage. Even if she doesn't wish to carry on having a relationship with me, we can still be friends. But if she wished to continue, i must be sure no information about the girls gets leaked to her, But first I need to act disappointed.

Me: Must wait till next month ah?

Christina: Are you willing to wait?

Me: ok Lor, you say wait then wait Lor.

During dinner, I did not eat much. I was thinking about Rachel, to me she had became sort of an arch enemy. If she had not done what she did, I believed I could juggle between Christina and the girls. So if I wanted to keep Christina, I have to stop Rachel from meddling in my life.

Christina was the first to finish her meal, and told Joanne she was leaving.

Joanne kicked me under the table as she mouthed to me: send her home.

I shook my head and instead I turn to Christina: Goodbye and take care ok.

A fustrated Joanne went to open the gate for Christina, sending her out.

Joanne soon came back and gave me a puzzled look: why didn't you send her back?

Me: She just say give her time what.

Joanne: You ok with this arrangement?

Me: Can I say no?
