Very sure! ICA is a department which no one can touch or dispute of their decision, they are the KING. If ICA wants the MM to be depatriated without charging her, who and where is she going fight? Bo-Tang fight one for sure. Ever encounter one PRC invest in business without ICA's approval (gong gong dun know) and kena repatriated. Till now still cannot come to Singapore. Spent few thousands dollars engaging lawyers (top one leh) to appeal and know what, ICA don't even bother to reply.......sigh.........they are the KING and QUEEN.

this 1 u talking abt is a diff case la. u onli fight a case when authority press charges against u. during any raid in ktv or TN, the gals can be brought into custody for suspected vice activities or working illegally. if the relavent authority hv enuff ground, they may or may not press charges. for both police n MOM cases, the IO can recommend a PEO as well. if they decided to charge, u then hv a case to fight. if no charge, no case n ICA will take over.
when they wanna deport u saying that u r not welcome into s'pore, no case to fight. 1 good example is the pilot fr SIA tt created a big hooha in union issue tiill our o man hv to step in. he diddnt do anything against s'pore law. no charges against him. just tt he was ask to leave with no return.

1. the resident is under custody.
2. the resident's room mate is under custody.
in this case the place is define as 'for human dwelling'
this is a bit diff fr any raid conducted in TN joints or transit hotels cos its place tt they operate 'business' n its consider as public place in some definations.

nothing to stop any prc from investing in any business in spore. but just becos they invest doesnt mean they have the right to come into spore.

anyway the fact she cannot come when any bloody prc farmer can come to spore would mean she was prev involved in some vice or undesirable activity.

as for ica bother 2 reply. most gavamen will reply one, becos they scared complain.

if they catch a girl workin in tuina n suspect she is working, they charge her. if never charge means not enuff evidence 2 charge her n so what reason they have 2 deport her?

She was not involved in any vice or undesirable activity to the best of my knowledge and she has never been caught by any authority for that. She was charged in Court for Engaged in Business without ICA's Approval and that is the reason why she is not allowed in Singapore til now. And I have to help manage her business and now, declare her income tax.........sigh .......... I still maintain that no one can challenge ICA's decision..........damn powerful.

lets just argue for argument n knowledege sharing seek. its just like ur house. someone come into ur house with ur permission. later u find tt u dun like the person due to some reason best known to urself. u ask him to leave. do u hv to/obligated to/respondsible for tell him why u wan him to leave? in person to person context we might wanna be diplomatic n just give a nice reason. but if u decided to be rude n just tell him to get out, did u do anything wrong? its ur house.

hmmm..... .....kind of same scenario or should I say simplified version. otherwise its common for foreigners to invest in co or businesses in spore big or small. dont think everyone needs to get ica approval 2 do that.
