btw, when is the correct period to apply for the visa? I applied last night and today status shown rejected. She is coming around end July

I believe there is no short term visit pass ...

It's either :

1. Initial application of visit pass specifying the period subjuect to approval ...
2.Normal 1 month tourist entry pass...
3. Long Term Visitor Pass ...
4. Extension of Visitor Pass - Yes , like you mentioned up to 89 days ... ( Procedures have change , need to interviewd at ICA before approval of Extension of Pass )

3 n 4 is for spouse or child .. BF/GF sorry NO chance of getting that ... the most act as sponsor and approved for 1 extra month ....

If your girl is not banned before, why need to apply visa before hand ???

Depsosit - Up to ICA whether need or no need, how much I don't know, it's also up to them to access the case ...

Entry visa the normal 1 month visit. Not banned from entry. Was thinking maybe too early and somemore she is unemployed now as she is not able to work for the timebeing. Not able to get any verification from ICA yet.

There isnt any good timing to summit the visa application , if rejected , just head to ICA and appeal for the applicant ...

My 2 cents worth ....

Sorry to sidetrack here, I got a problem to discuss here. Hope bros here can give me some guidances. My wife ask me to apply to be a sponsor for my Sis-in-law. Problem is that she is not staying with us at Woodlands. She will be staying at her relative place near JC area. I suspect she is planning to work in that area. That is why I reject my wife request. I like to know what is the consequence if I become a sponsor for my Sis-in-law and she is caught working in JC area?
For that I getting cold treatment from my wife. She did not talk to me whole day. Hope any bros can give me advice. Thanks a lot.

You did the right thing to reject...you may be fined and prosecuted if she breaks the law...you will be asked to come to post bail and assist in investigation...worst case you can be consider accomplice and may be implicated if she told the Police that you are the mastermind depending on the crime she committed...

I managed to get the response from ICA already. They told me they rejected the application on the ground of too early application. They told me they would only consider application if it's 4-6weeks prior to arrival if through their SAVE applications.

Will try again when the date got nearer.

Try applying mid June thru' SAVE.

Since yr SIL is staying at her relative place, why not ask them to be her sponsor?

I assume yr wife have not gotten SPR yet, I advise you not to mess up the sponsor thingy, since u are still her local sponsor. Try explain to her with severe consequences.

Rejection is correct. Wrong declaration of an address where applicant is not residing is an offence and you can be jailed.
