17 karaoke girls nabbed in Semarang police raid

Police have arrested 17 girls working as attendants at street karaoke bars in Semarang, Central Java, a police official says.
The girls were arrested in an operation conducted from Wednesday night until Thursday at dawn in street karaoke bars along Jl. Unta Raya and Jl. Pati Unus, as well as in the Dargo area of Semarang, Gayamsari Police chief Com. Triwisnugroho said as quoted by antaranews.com.
Police also confiscated 82 bottles of alcoholic drinks and karaoke equipment including televisions, VCD players and speakers.
Triwisnugroho said 60 police officers were deployed to conduct the operation following complaints from local residents.
“Local people complained about the consumption of alcoholic drinks at the street karaoke bars, which disrupt security and public order,” he said.

Place close attention to the confiscation of 82 bottles of alcoholic drinks and karaoke equipment including televisions, VCD players and speakers.
Hahahaha.....people drinking outside of the venues, but the KTV's equipments got taken away......

just curious...jkt vs batam....is it worth the trouble and costs to go to jkt just for cheong?..may be there is more variety of ceweks in jkt?...or the discos are better? bros here care to comment, thanks..

Batam - girls there cannot make it in JKT so they venture there. Most people comment that the girls there looks like our maid after they seen Jakarta's standard.

you also need to advise people who are used to Batam, that while standard of girls in Jkt is higher, so will be the rates....

of course the costs are higher...just checked the airfares alone is around S$120 and plus the 150k tax...btm is only $48....cewek may be double..but the point is `is it worth the trouble?`....you may get one as good in btm for 1.5 juta (covers the jkt total costs)...why spend almost 5 hrs (from home) for the transport?...to and fro 10 hours...
may be a change of scene is the answer ??? haha!!!

I've been to Batam & Jakarta and my personal opinion is you'll find more gems in Jakarta that's hard to get in Batam. But you need to check it out yourself and best to read the forums and get as much info then your trip would be worth it! End of the day, worth it or not? it's up to the individual!
