But in my own personal view, remittance percentage doesn't represent the behavior of the people culturally. There's group whom are ex-refugees whom had been converted to other nationals but still in touch with their families back in there. Some are FTs working in places like Korea and Japan who send monies back not only to families, but to their own account for safekeeping.
Anyway, this is a no-absolute question.
You don't even know the term to describe these vietnamese abroad? They are known as 'VietKieus'. You still have a lot to learn. Most of the local vietnamese depend on these vietkieus to remit money back to them for daily expenses, they just refused to work and prefer to rot in the village.
just like to check how much SGD allowance is enough to sustain a family pop of 2 in Vietnam.
allowance to cover :
a population of 1 mother and 1 younger brother
1.eating expenses
2.house rental include utilities aka PUB (SGD$500 enough?)
3.education of younger brother college studies (i think he's 19yr old)
4.Tution Fees
just want to know if they are requesting for $1000 per month is it reasonable?
2 person needs S$1K a month for survival?S$1k is around 16.5million VND. Unless they are staying in a condo in a big city like HCMC or Hanoi, or else, staying in a small house/ room in the city cost around 3 to 4 million VND for rental a month and utilities cost another 500K VND (no aircon, just simple electrical and water). Their eating expenses are very low as they eat mostly vegetables. 1 day 65K VND for 2 person (1 month around 2 million VND) is more than enough and considered very good food already. College fees is cheap and heavily subsidised in Vietnam, he can also go work part time to earn some pocket money.
So.. add up,
Rental - 4 million
Utilities - 500K
Food - 2 million
College fees: 200K
Total : 6.7 million a month
If they stay in village, minus around 30% off from rental, food and utilities. Do you know how much a normal staff (without degree) earns in HCMC a month? only around 3m a month. So by giving them 16.5million VND a month, they can live like a king there while you live like a pauper here. Worth it?

Like what vlenar has said, u will be amazed by how much they can earn working in Cambodia. Even guys are working decent jobs over in Cambodia.
Thx Bro for your support, of course i together with her not because of sex. But by my heart, if she is not a WL. I think probably perfect girl to me, after seeing her arguging with her mom to follow me to singapore make me feel she is true to me.
Welcome.
but dun quite understand the sentence in red.
Advise to try spending time or get her to stay with u for a period of time, for u to understand her more and for her to understand u more, also for her to understand and feel living abroad away from her family for a long period of time.
