Personally, I feel that it is not safe to meet up face-to-face. I'm not sure about a kid that grew up in Oz, but my experience with Chinese women told me that emotionally charged women are crazy. After reading through your story and the comments by the others, I have formed my humble opinion.

It seems that you already know what to do and have done that, which is to disappear from her life and fade off. So why the need to send her the snail mail. You have already MIA for some time now and she has probably gotten over the hurt. Now, u want to send her a mail and explain why u cannot continue to see her? This will stir things up for her again. Not to mention you considering flying her to sg.

Some of your thoughts and actions reminds me of my own good friend years ago. He was breaking up with his girlfriend. However he insisted on seeing her one last time. While he waited to meet her, I chatted with him a few times. I asked him since you guys already break up, why want to meet up? He always said that he just want to say how sorry he was as it was his fault that their relationship had to come to an end. In my heart, I didn't believe him. I finally got the reason from him the night before he was supposed to meet her. As expected, there was only one reason, one last fuck.

I am not saying that u want to do that but it seems to me that u are the one that needed closure. u don't seem to want to take this opportunity to make up with your once upon a time good buddy. So why need to write to the poor girl. MIA, already done, leave her alone, let her live her life from here on, no need to explain, u didn't see this as a long term relationship anyway. Why care about who her dad is? Unless u want to meet her dad. U already made your choice, so stick by it. Leave the poor girl some peace and some imagination. Thanks so much for your input...I agree with all of you...

My original plan was to just go MIA...

Many pm suggested that I give the girl some closure but most sis say to leave her alone...and that gels with what you guys are saying..

I can see where some bros are coming from about doing the right thing by not letting her just hang...I understand that too...

As stated, there is still a few weeks before my trip so I haven't made any plans for her yet...already written the snail mail...and strangely, after writing, it actually gave me my closure already...I do not think I will even send it..

I am leaning towards leaving things as is....to reopen the wound will do neither of us any good...but I am still feeling guilty for leaving her in the dark...
However, in the next couple of weeks, my resolve will surely strengthen and I'll be content to leave things well enough alone.
