Hi, you are right about Jakarta is not designed for walking. In any case, I think it's just coming from different perspective that's all. For some of us, we are tourists to this city so maybe sometimes we do not mind trying to walk around vicinity of hotels , clubs, etc either to find food, buy daily necessities or just to soak in the atmosphere.

Just my 2 cents.

I never been to JKT...so just want to get an understanding.

However, I had been to Batam for 7 or 8 times.....so Im aware cant expect Singapore kind of walkways.

Air tics very expensive.....have to wait till next week starting 13 May....
