Last trip, i was brought to this cafe by a 20 year old Batam University girl which is located opposite Swiss Belinn Hotel near Penuin area.

Not my kind of food tho.

What i have known from websites is that this place is suppose to be one of the restaurants in Batam that produce the best steak.

In general, i can't say i hate the food in terms of taste just because it isn't my kind of food. It still quite alright for me and the food shares are really in big portion. I am pleasantly filled after the meal tho.

And here comes the bill for a 3 person dinner, hehehe... (2 ladies and myself)

(still within my expectation tho for such restaurant)

I cannot be expecting a 15k rupiah chicken rice price when i walk into a restaurant like that. Likewise for Batam's food court versus major sea food restaurants in Batam.

Will i return again, well...perhaps until i bring the ladies to Nomad the next round since they are so into western food.

Hehehe...if wants to risk getting quizzed or questioned by immigration custom, can always travel via Batam Center ferry terminal, and if take the last ferry via Batam center ferry terminal, i dare say my chance of going in to "drink coffee" can almost reach 100%.

I chose to go by Harbour Bay ferry terminal tho. More expensive, but i feel safer. Thats even if i travel in the last ferry timing.

On the contrary, i feel that the quality of the food is good (lesser or no flour added), but i feel the chef in Teras Cafe couldn't handle the steak well enough. The quality of its ingredient/s is solid enough & non-processed type, at least.

I was there during dinner time, and place was almost packed to the rim (maybe because i go during weekends?). And i observed a ratio of 30% "bule" aka "ang moh" in it and mostly on the first floor and locals were mainly on the 2nd floor.

70% of them were either locals or foreigners from Singapore.

Ambience-wise not fantastic compared to Singapore western food restaurants. From one table to the next table is just too close to each other. Less than a meter apart. A bit clamp on the clampy side. I get the same feel when i visit McDonald at Kamgpong Bule or any other Mcdonald's restaurant in Singapore.

Above were my observation.

Meximo Pub wantan noodles, hehehe...it's been more than 3 years since i last visited the place.

I did not visit the place much even when before covid time because i can order their noodles to be send to my hotel room via Go Food.

In my last Batam trip on May, i manage to drop in for a bowl of their regular size wan tan noodle.

The cost of the noodle has gone up quite high. Order from go food cost 28k rupiah and eating in cost 22k rupiah, if i did not remember wrong.

Brought a friend there to eat something like this :

Plus the curry rice, shared.

All food inclusive of drinks cost around 92k rupiah, if i didnt remember wrong.

Now, those were my kind of food. One of my most perfect food in Batam.

My rating for the food i ate, 9.5/10.
(everyone's taste bud is different, i rate higher because i like the food & i can eat them for the next 365 days)

Note that those were non-halal food.

Now that i am unable to use GoFood from web to order food to my hotel, i am likely to visit this place relatively regular whenever able. Can't bring girls there as food is non-halal tho.

To date, i do not know what this place is called (yes, even if there's a name & address) hence i cant tell the taxi driver how to get there. I just tell them i want to go to Meximo Pub. This shop is just less than 1 min walk to Meximo Pub.

Meximo pub is a closed down place for a very long time but the building has not been abolished yet, hence i use it as a landmark to locate the place. I named this place as Meximo Pub wan tan noodle shop, hehehe....

Another worthy mention on food i like which i visited during March 2023.

Recommended by an Indian man from Singapore who comes to Batam to work at one of the shipyard who stays in the same hotel as me.

Okela Garden Sea food

Remember i was looking for sweet & sour Pork Ribs in Batam? I told this Indian bro that in Batam, very difficult to find good sweet & sour pork ribs aka 排骨王。And he shared this place.

There was 2 menu there, one was halal and one isnt.

Yes, there are 2 kitchens there, a halal and non-halal ones.

I went there for the first time, not knowing there are 2 menus and wasnt able to find non-halal food. Hence end up this is what i ordered.

With drinks and all in, total cost is (2 men + 2 ladies eating) :

I won't consider this place cheap tho but the food is good. Anytime, i will rate it a 8/10.

The location of this place is directly opposite Hotel 89, hehehe...can see the restaurant directly from Hotel 89. Well, this place reminds me of Hao Ou sea food, which is also suppose to be opposite Hotel 89 too but one will needs to walk in further (i think about 10 to 15 mins, depending how fast one walks).

Attached the rough map for future reference.

Comparing the food between Hai Ou and Okela, i think Okela food taste better. Of course, this is just base on my taste bud. Okela food gives me the more expensive feel tho.

Note that the price on my receipt is base on a 20% off hence the food may cost more once the promotion is over. As for when it will b over, i'm not so sure.

Just sharing yet another of my "bits" of my Batam trip since i can venture in more now, hehehe....i will need to go there again whenever fate & time allows.

personally i visit octopus on every trip since reopen coz i feel the pricing is reasonable and they are open to providing fj so no need to nego like some other shops. also the fact that i dun speak the language so it will be an issue

Is their platinum lady worth it? That day I find them not really outstanding compare to the Gold. Except P14 Laura(?) Which I bumped into later the day. Have u tried her before?

So far I am happy with the spa. Only issue is their pricing is strange if u want to take 2 ladies or 1 lady for 2 hours. Their pricing does not seem worth it....

cant recall exactly. should be G14/15/16

yes i have tried both. in general P tag girls are much younger. the 2 i have tried told me they are 19

while the G tag girls i tired mostly told me they were 23 to 25 thereoffs

i dun have their photos so cant recall who p14 is
