The date eventually didn't happen. Although it was agreed, the exact time and venue was not confirmed. So the I tried texting the day before but she didn't reply. Even calls were not answered. She did read the messages but somehow didn't reply. This is 1 major hint that she is probably not interested I guess.

So without the date, I went to her work place and just nice she was about to enter as well.

I somehow get the feeling she was unsure who am I although she managed to get my name correct. Either she was too stunned I appeared or she was just in a blur.

But she was pleased to see me. I talked to her about the messages and why she didn't reply. The answer was not too convincing but never mind. Told me she was drunk and didn't have the mood to reply. And being drunk, she slept for a very long time after work so not ideal to go out.

Tried to fix another dinner date during her off day this time. But I am not optimistic about it.

Another issue is her buddy. She got this buddy who would tag along everywhere she goes. Quite hard to shake her off. And the buddy I would rate 1/10 in terms of looks. If I buy her LD, the buddy would beg for 1. If I ask her out, she would ask if her buddy can follow. Big headache. Haha

Be firm with the buddy though. I can understand the sisterly desire for your target help the ugly duckling out. Definitely draw the line at her being a hanger on during the date. if you have put the time in to build her trust in you (esp not being SPF) then there is no need or excuse for a chaperone.

I'm not sure where the bar is she works, but a memorable thing u can do is order some chicken wings or other cheap food for her and the others there. Ask the delivery guy to say it's from you for xxxx and friends. A pretty low cost thing to do. But it depends on there being a cheap food stall nearby.

There are always 2 outcomes from doing something. If I firmly request the buddy to stay away, the girl may think I am petty. If I allow the buddy to come, more expenses on food, less together time with the girl. Either way it seems like I am going to lose out.

I have done the food delivery thing before in another situation. Not very useful haha.

I think I am losing the sort of mojo. Wasn't too difficult to get girls to be a little more comfortable with me in the past. Or maybe this target is different.

Bro, it is not being petty... you tell the hot chick that you want to see her and only her and not have others tag along doing a date. Emphasis is on the word "DATE". Here is my (an experienced Pinay Pub patron) take on all this:

1. Pinay Pubs are expensive...you need to "pay to play." If you cannot afford to blow SGD 150 (or more) over the course of an hour (or more), then these places are not for you and you should not patronise them

2. The ladies are providing you a service. YOU are the customer, so whatever you say goes, no arguments. I agree they can be pushy, but you are in control. If you cannot be assertive enough with them, then these places are not for you and you should not patronise them

3. As Sammy himself advises, do not look to "make friends" with these ladies, take them out on dates, give them money in exchange for nothing, buy them things or otherwise try to "please" them. They are there for business, you are there for some brief fleeting fun. If you cannot accept that these pubs are NOT places to meet 'friends' then these places are not for you and you should not patronise them

Nowadays I don't waste much time. If I don't see the kind of quality lady that I feel is worth my money and time, I simply walk out and and try to find something closer to my tastes. I NEVER give them my contact details, and when they ask me personal questions I divulge very little.

On the rare occasion that I make a connection with one, I simply wait until she gets close to the end of her contract and ask for her contact details so I could get together with her as a 'normal citizen' when her stint is up (I have never followed up).
