The more healthy "less oil" it is, the less tasty the Char kway teow.
Making it healthier will compromise the taste. I think the reason why Char Kway teow is nice because it is a sinful food.
Char Kway Teow taste best with lard oil

8 Best Satays In Singapore That Will Satayisfy Your Skewered Meat Obsessions

Read more: http://sethlui.com/best-satay-singapore/#ixzz4DmT7LNgL

1. Fang Yuan Satay(芳园沙爹)

Chicken, pork satay ($0.50/stick, minimum 10 sticks). For those staying in Toa Payoh, you’re in for a delectable treat. Fang Yuan Satay is located in the bustling food centre of Lorong 5. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 15 to 20 minutes during dinner time.

This one tops the list as the grated pineapple sauce is just glorious, the pineapple pulps and juice adds a tangy delight with each dip. Served cold, almost like a dessert that you could eat alone, the pineapple sauce is only given when asked.

Fang Yuan Satay: Blk 75, #01-25 Lorong 5 Toa Payoh Food Centre, Singapore 310075 | Monday – Sunday: 6pm – 12 am

12 Best Porridge in Singapore That Deserves The Congeeniality Award

Read more: http://sethlui.com/best-porridge-sin...#ixzz4DmU6FeXj

1. Zhen Zhen Porridge

Top of my list is Zhen Zhen Porridge at Maxwell Food Centre, because it delivers simple and heartening comfort at such an affordable price.

While some porridges might need the addition of soy sauce and pepper, the ones here are very well seasoned on its own and rich in ingredients.

Chicken and Century Egg Porridge ($5.50).

Though they only serve fish and chicken porridges, these two choices are enough for anyone because they are absolutely delectable in their own ways. It is very creamy and comforting, doesn’t get watered down after stirring and the condiments add extra fragrance to the otherwise already rich in flavour porridge.

The century egg portions are chunky and when combined with the julienned ginger, thoroughly comforts my being.

Zhen Zhen Porridge: #01-54, 1 Kadayanallur St, Singapore 069184
