Hi folks,

going to be moving to Batam in couple of months due to work purposes, at least for 4-6 months.

Can seniors here share, other than hotels and private apartments, where can I find swimming pools in Batam?

Just came back from Batam. Haven't been there for anywhere between 20 to 30 years. I know it's a place to have lots of fun, but got myself something quite unexpected. A slightly long story, but there's a TLDR at the bottom.

I don't like traveling, so I usually leave travel plans to the missus. She booked a long weekend trip for us and the kids to Batam. Before traveling there, she booked a massage session in Nagoya. She said it's opened by a Singaporean couple and there is a kids' play area in the venue where couples can leave kids in before going for their massage. I know about Nagoya, but seeing that I'm there with the family, and my wife booked a supposedly reputable clean place, I had zero expectations of anything happening.

Went to the second floor then was informed that there were no more couples room. So we were separated. Massage went on as normal. The male masseuse was a scrawny little fella, so there wasn't much strength. Whatever. Just wanted get it over and done with. All was well until I was asked to turn over.

When I turned over, I realized that the entire room was dark. While massaging my legs, the masseuse kept touching my dick. I was not sure if that was part of a JG thing or not. I didn't react, and I think he took it as no objection, so he gave my dick a lick. I was stunned. So stunned that my entire body froze and tensed up. WTF? NOKindly reduce ur expectations during ur stay in Btm by at least 50%, nvr nvr think its the same as u r in Sg. And don't think other will think like U.

I understand you wish a pool where you can swim back and forth to keep you trained and in fit during your long stay, not a pool where to lay down and enjoy the sun.
The best you can do is to ask who is going to rent you the apartment, or the staff of the hotel where you will stay, or even better who in your company is already in Batam (I assume you are not a single independent worker). In my experience, many hotel staff is new to Batam and less expert of surroundings than me after research, but you can try to ask the general manager.
At worst, you can try to ask staff of top hotels (Marriott?) claiming you will be there in few months and you want to learn before travelling.

Once again: "masseuse" is female, "masseur" is male. I don't know why here many like to use the French word, but reversing the gender...

Yes, Mr Black Page. I'm looking for a pool for the occasional swim. During my stay, I'll staying in a house owned by the company in Penuin area behind Grand Batam Mall. Maybe I'll look into the neighboring hotels with pool and pay per usage..

Thanks for the recommendation. Aston should be quite near to the place I'll staying at when I'm there..
