My closest was once when I almost got into a fight with one of the ulu motel's owner son, over a dispute of a fallen curtain in the room I stayed. Well, indeed money can do wonders in LOS, however I'll advise against doing that if they can take the longer path to reside in maesai, get some kind of "PR id card" status which allow them to live there for good (but need visa to visit other cities like bangkok) and eventually after about 10 years they'll be issued a real LOS id.

Is this a norm or subject to approval fr LOS?

If fact I've know she has been carrying the "PR id card" for a few yrs already.

That's what one of my tirak said to me before but I didn't probe further. Maybe some other bros here can help.

All I know is that they quite poor thing, can't go anywhere freely not even within LOS unless cook up some excuses which grant them a few days "visa". Traveling overseas even worst - need to go through Yangon and stay a few days there and spend some money. If she "work" in Sg before using a "bought" LOS passport, then can forget abt bringing her to Sg (I think) even if she got a LOS id eventually.

I guess that's what & why u're trying to ask & find out - good luck

Actually she has never travel out before, other then LOS. She even contemplating of going back and try her luck but knowing hows the corrupted situation over there, chances are ..u get what i mean.
