Wow... why got this kind of place huh! Never been there before but thinking of bringing my customers from thailand there to entertain them. So am I correct to say that they are same as those Electrical shop in Lucky Plaza or Peninsula, where those sales man con tourist..

I think better go JD or ibarr better to avoid being slaughter. Anyway you know the girls there are not genuine only after $$$$.
Tomorrow will head down to JD follow by ibarr, hope these place dont disappoint me.

If every samster who goes to that establishment and has to praise the place, is there any so-called freedom of speech in this forum?

Not trying to pick a fight here. If the place sucks and there are people who feedback as sucks, the owners who are here as samsters should read this comments and act more positively rather than deemed it as a negative aspect.

I say to each his own....most places have their loyal clients and their own niche market. If u dun like the place just patronize another joint. No point coming in here and posting comments to blast this joint and that. I personally go down to icon cause of the pool table. I chill, play pool, have a couple of drinks and dun purchase LDs at all. After the girls see u there often enough, they do talk and smile and socialize with you. Same as TD, i used to go often but never bought LDs as well. Its a matter of choice. All girls that come and work are the same, be it at Icon, Impact, TD, TD2, JD, Cherry. The come to try to earn a living. You can't blame them for asking, just make your stand, they are all overall pretty nice people. I can understand cause at TD there is a 70 drinks in a week policy if not you get sent back. I am not sticking up for anyone, but i just think we need to look from other side of the fence once in awhile. And no offence, for someone that just joins, and uses a nick iconsucks just to blast a place, i can hardly thnk that there is any credibility at all. Competitors? u guys judge for yourself.

Been to Icon Bar for a few times already and found the place rather nice. To each his own but the comments I am about to put here are my personal views:

1 Some one commented that the singers are not great looking except for 'Nice', I beg to defer I actually think that Mona is very pretty and her looks is the type that grows on you. As for begging for flowers, most of it comes from Pitong but he has slowed down alot already. Maybe the band is reading the forum and learning as they go or better the management is reading and telling the band to slow down. Either way its improving.

2 I have talked to the boss a couple of times and I really do believe that he is there to take care of customers. There are cases where a few GROs spoilt the market by asking for drinks and then not drinking or spending time but I have seen the boss (more than a few times) aasking the girls to go back and finish the drinks. Now, the boss cannot control the girls in what they do ... just watch out and try to control the matter after and I think ICON is doing a good job.

3 In terms of GROs ratio they have probably the best around. Just last friday I believe there were about 12 -15 GROs of which I can easily spot 8 cutes ones (by my standard)

4 I dont buy flowers of LDs unless I really like the lady and I still get good service here. Think one of the Bros hit the nail on the head ... just stand firm if you do not want to buy - the girls are here to make money you cannot fault them for asking. I remember once one of the GROs I like ask for drinks ... I told her to go ahead and order ... the waiter actually came back and double confirm. That is the way it should go.

So much for what I like about ICON ... the stuff I dont ...

1 Location ... If you dont drive its really kinda out of the way and getting a cab out of the place can be a hassle esp on weekdays.

2 The ladies using the gents toilets. I do understand that the ladies toilet is located downstairs and is quite far etc. But if the ladies want to use the male toilet ... dont take your time in there. I have seen many GROs using the toilet and rush in and out thats great. However, there are a few customers that take their time in the male toilet ... whats more they actually lock the main door and the queue get quite bad. The longest I have seen a female customer using the male toilet is almost 15 - 20 min (I was playing pool outside) and this customer (*C*) took her time even as other knocked the door etc.

I have been to many Thai Bars in Singapore and have come to the following conclusion -

Thai Disco (1&2) - not bad however I dont really like GM
Jay Dees - Too small if I want to go there I rather go TD2
Geo - Nice place however prices of drinks a little steep ($188 chivas)
ICON - Value for Money ($148 Chivas) but out of the way
LI - GROs LD blackhold
IBARR - Another nice place esp with previous band ... not sure how they are not with current new band. Oh just for some guest who like 199 flower girl ... a singer with the current band looks a little like her
Cherry - Dont waste time to go there

Been to Icon twice.

Overall find it a nice place to chill out with friends. Service staff were attentive and singers were friendly. The long hair guy singer during his break will come by and chat but will not ask for drinks. Even when the lady singers come by and chat they dont ask for drinks.

But must automatic lah...so my friend gave one of the female singer his credit card and ask her to order whatever drinks she and her friends want. They also quite reasonable each person order only 5 LDs.

Sometimes want to go cheong and enjoy cannot be too calculative over money lah.

Went down to Icon on friday and saw some new girls. Had the pleasure of talking to some of them. There was this girl name Nan, nice to look at and very friendly. That is my opinion. Others may beg to differ. She didn't even ask for any L/Ds but seeing her sit with me for quite awhile, i also felt for her and asked her if she wanted to drink. She told me it is up to me. Although she told me that she was there at Icon to work but she didn't want the customers to feel that she is all hard up for drinks only. In the end bought her 5 drinks and she was surprised. There was another girl name Merky or Milky not that sure, she is abit on the fleshy side but not that bad afterall. My friend said that her love handles are nice to hold. Saw one more cute and petite girl but didn't get to talk to her. Maybe will head down again tonight to see Nan.

to all those who say i shareholder....

i think everyone entitled to their own opinion. nobody force u or me to like or dislike.

if anyone who says the place is good must be a shareholder...to the person who complain and say the place no good, does it mean he's a competitor. use your maturity b4 sending me all those pm.

my only advise is if u guys so calculative when u cheong...very had to find a place to enjoy lah. if no money stay at home....what for go out want to cheong but must worry about whether u spend already can get the level of good service that u want.

sometimes bad service is because u spend very little but act like u spend alot.
your money is same value as every other customer. dont think spend abit is very big shot. sometimes u think is alot but compared to others u dont know actually very small only.

Well said bro. every restaurant, movie, place will have their share of supporters and critics. This is a forum for sharing. If you like the place, by all means share your experience so that other bros might wanna go check it out. If you have a bad experience, post it up as well so that the bros can know that these bad occurences do happen. At the end of the day, as i said, to each his own. Just like eating at a restaurant, no two plates of food will taste exactly the same. One might appeal to one persons tastebuds and one might totally turn him off. Its up to the bros here to experience it themselves. End of the day this forum is just for sharing of information and we should just contribute accordingly. Good or bad it should be taken with a pinch of salt. Its each person's individual experience. I just did not think it was justifiable to slam the place if you dun like it. At the end of the day, its your money and you choose where best to spend it. Enjoy bros!
