I did solo 2 years back, wasn't short of company in SK bars. Survived even with my useless pasa thai (nothing beyond the odd few smattering of social phrases like the all important chek bin)

According to the USGS an earthquake measuring 6.3 hits northern Thailand at around 6pm Thai time. Epicentre is reportedly 9km south of Mae Lao (not sure where exactly that is) but I guess its near the mountainous regions of Chiangrai.

Pictures above shows some damage in Chiangrai and people evacuating buildings and the airport. Tremors were felt as far south as Bangkok so those of you doing some horizontal exercises an hour ago maybe you just weren't that great in bed?

any recommendations for girl-friendly hotels near Sukhumvit Soi 11 - 15?

i remembered there's a very useful post/thread on bangkok hotels which are girl-friendly (.ie. no extra joiners fees if you bring girls back) but i tried searching for the past 10 minutes and couldn't locate it.

i see that my hotel ( Dream Hotel ) is not listed in your map. i stupidly paid for this hotel last night, and when i tried to bring a gal back, they wanted to charge me 3,000baht more.

luckily i managed to sneak her in later...

yes, when my travel agent in China booked Dream Hotel for me, she listed me as the only person staying.

so if last min add in another guest, must pay another 3000baht?!

Single means 1 person only. Most hotels single and Double/ Twin same price. Wish you would have dealt with me before.

No, I did not draw the map, but I am glad that you found it useful!

I usually book double room when I travel, just in case if I feel like a facial at 3 a.m.
