If it is Achilles tendon injury there is no way they will feature as these type of injuries take @ 8 weeks for the tendon to heal. And then you have to go for physiotherapy to slowly ease the tendon back to fitness so overall it will be at least 3 months before they can play again.

Hello, Liverpool have spent over £30m before for players. Sadly all CMI in Liverpool! Just hope the latest £30+m signing, Sadio Mane, turns out to be a success instead.

Paul Pongba, well I guess he may be in a different super elite category? That said, is there really a need for Liverpool to buy such a player at a world record price (or thereabouts) to ensure success?

Look at Gundogan, Mkhitaryan, Lewandowski, Reus etc from Dortmund. They were spotted as potentials, bought at relatively reasonable prices and brought Dortmund and Klopp great success. Ditto for Leicester and say even West Ham's Dimitri Payet.

What Liverpool need to do is to unearth another Suarez, Torres, Gerrard etc. No point breaking bank.
