I won't deny there're working ladies who go Slim, or Route66 or even some other local pubs/restaurants... but other than Siam Hotel, Nana Hotel, CM2, etc, most working ladies who go to places like Slim are purely there for fun or with customers... I don't think they're there to "do business".

It's tough to be alone overseas, so here's my humble contribution.
I am not very familiar with Ratchada area except for some of the MPs like Emmanuelle and Caesars. These MPs are very near your hotel and you can just walk in for massage + one/two rounds. Cost is in the region of Baht 2100 upwards depending on what category you choose. I think there is quite a few brothers who have written on these MPs, just check out the threads.
If you want to go and sit down, drink and ta pao, you will need to get to Patpong and Nana Plaza. I have not been to Patpong for a long time so cannot comment. Only thing I must warn you: in Patpong, do not ever follow those guys who show you porn photos and tell you there is good lady show on the 2nd or 3rd floor. If you get trapped into their bars upstairs, you will be forced to pay something like US$1000 for your two drinks; big bouncers will shut the bar main doors and threaten you physically. Please take care.
There are also pick pockets at work in Patpong so keep your wallet in your front pockets.

You can go to Soi Nana, Sukhumvit and visit Nana Plaza; plenty of go go bars and can ta pao, or short time.
1) You can take MRT from Huay Kwang station to Sukhumvit station. From Sukhumvit Station, you can go up to the skytrain and take one stop to Nana Station; ask the station attendants how to get around the station, they are very helpful and friendly. From Nana Station, ask for directions to Landmark Hotel, just one minute walk away. If your back is facing Landmark Hotel, turn left, walk straight, go pass Majestic Suites/Majestic Tailors, and at the junction, turn left, and walk straight; you will see Nana Plaza within 15 steps. Turn left and you are there!
2) Suggest you read about the Nana Plaza bars from the threads as there is a lot of details there. Short brief: Drinks like Singha beer and Heneiken beer is about 110 baht. Ladies drinks are about the same. If you take the girl out, you pay a bar fine of about 600 baht. For the girl, you need to pay between 1500-2000 for short time. Overnight is 3000 baht or more.
Please note that bar fine for short time, means the girl will leave you after the deed is done.
3) Opposite Landmark Hotel are plenty of places to eat. I recommend you go to the supermarket located opposite the Amari Hotel. They have a food counter that serves thai and westen food, clean and economical. Amari Hotel is located just across the road from Landmark Hotel.
Later into the night, from 9pm onwards, there are some free lance stading on the street across Landmark Hotel. They are either ladyboys or girls, so be careful. They are also known to pick your pockets if you are drunk so take care. They work in pairs or more, so you are always being looked at from all angles when you chat with one of them.

These are very good advises... avoid following touts bringing u to "sex shows", and pickpockets (but not just Patpong, in fact even on street of Sukhumvit Road, MBK, JJ Market, etc.)
However, ur claim about US$1,000 threat is exaggerated. Did u experienced this urself or u read from stickman? They'll only charge u 300THB for covercharge and another around 150THB for the drinks. Most felt cheated because the touts claimed its cover-charge free and u only need to pay for drinks...

The building with the supermarket is call "Nai Lert Building". The supermarket is call "Foodland". Its 24 hour and sell very cheap Tiger beer at 26THB.
On top of Foodland, there's actually a pub/restaurant call "Rooftop" Pub or something (co-owned by farang)which has couple of pool tables and its opened untill 4am.

The Supermarket is called " Foodland " and it is located at Soi 5, Sukhumvit Road

They are opened for 24-hours and the food served at the Food Counter is quite delicious, hygienic and the prices are very reasonable.......... I am at this place almost everyday when I am in Bangkok because I stay at a very small hotel at Soi 7 (opposite the famous ' Soi 7 Beer Garden ')
