From the latest EPL and CL results, one thing is clear, to finish Top 4 Liverpool cannot depend on results related to their other rivals but instead need to focus on trying to win their remaining matches starting with the one against Watford on Saturday. We also need to balance our progression in CL with our EPL schedule.

Consider....

City being presumptive EPL champions means they might turn off the gas for upcoming matches against United and Spurs to focus on their pursuit of CL success, Pep said as much after City's win against Stoke.

United, Spurs and now Chelsea not progressing to the last 8 of the CL means that they will have more time to focus on securing a Top 4 position.

It is not as if Klopp has got no other options . If Klopp continues to select these same players it may cause his downfall . It is certainly nice to see some players warming the bench instead of playing . Most likely they may be on the way out come this summer .

If the reds are "lucky" to draw Roma or Sevilla and Klopp's 1 or 2 mediocre, useless godsons are playing, i would bet my life savings on Roma or Sevilla to prevail over 2 legs. But sadly i am not a betting man.

Real Madrid, Bayern and Barcelona all avoid each other.

Home draw first against City. It probably couldn’t have been any worse.

Also this being the CL would at least rather had drawn one of the above top 3 continental clubs instead.

During CNY I was in HK and as usual I visited the Wong Tai Sin temple..... after which I sought out the fortune tellers outside. This time was busy period so I could only have breif session instead of our usual tcss session. But I was still able to wrangle a prediction on the CL out of them.

The prediction? - Liverpool will go all the way to the final and meet the 3 Saints. All this while I have been trying to figure out which team was the 3 Saints.... until I saw the Man U vs Sevilla match. On the crest of Sevilla was the picture of 3 Saints..... so they were actually referring to Sevilla.

I hope their prediction is accurate and look forward to a Liverpool-Sevilla final.
