Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
The season ends in May, so lets wait and see what happens then.
31 games left with 93 points still up for grabs. Meanwhile we take each game as it comes. Napoli next on Wednesday night. P.S. Daniel should just retire from international football and concentrate on club football going by his medical condition. Same applies to Lallana and maybe the Ox as well. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Fully agree DS should retire from international duties n concentrate on club football. With his current form its good for the PL n CL campaign.
Salah is a marked man this season. Salah needs to find his sharpness back. Missed his curling shot to the goal. Season is long we have long way to go. Game by game. Good thing is our bench players are experienced players. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Tough game tonight at a cauldron of a stadium!
With players like Mertens, Insigne, Callejon, Hamsik, Zielinski, Koulibaly et. al + those mad Napoli fans, its going to be hot night! Still hope for a win but would be happy with a draw and no injuries. Also would like to see Keita, Shaqiri, Daniel and Fabinho get some game time along the way as well. Come on you Reds! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Deserved to lose.
Credit to Carlo, he outfoxed us. Gomez is immense and Alisson deserves a shout out. Trent has been poor for the last few games. Robertson has been average for the last 2 games. Keita being injured was terrible. Henderson did alright though when he came on. Milner had a poor game. Wijnaldum looked decent as the 6 but was very ineffective when he had to play further forward. Midfield was not very good until Fabinho came on. When Fabinho came on we looked immediately better. The way the ref stopped the game for the Sturridge sub killed our momentum. Nothing is coming off for the front three at the moment. Nothing they are trying is working. Defences raise their game when they face them now, and maybe the pressure of being expected to win rather than being underdogs is affecting the way they play. Not the end of the world however. We can still qualify from this group and we didn't kill ourselves running tonight so hopefully will be fresh to play City next. But boy that is going to be one hell of a massive game now!! Shaqiri and Sturridge should get a chance to start now? Really hope Keita's injury aint that bad. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Luckily it was 1-0....Could easily have been 3-0 or 4-0.
In a way I am happy Pool lost tonight! This is to wake up their fxxking idea! Worst performance so far n as usual Klopp as stubborn as ever! Milner Hendo n Wini cannot play together in midfield! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
0 shots on target sums up what a game we had.
The front 3 looked lost and zero creativity from all players. Midfield is 100% tired but I do blame them. Gomez and Alisson were the heros. Napoli fans did not allow us to play football. They were loud and supported the team hard. Another example was the PSG game when a small number of PSG fans shut down the entire Anfield.

Stubborn Ah Klopp needs to be flexible with his team selection and tactics, 0 shots on target, looks like Ah Klopp just asking his players to keep running into a brick wall. Now no more "the brain" Buvac to tell Ah Klopp what to do? Now only early October and most of the players looks tired and worn out. Yup only Gomez and Alisson pulling the weight for the team. Not a good week, 2 defeats and a draw in 3 competitions, could have been 3 defeats if not for sick chicken's wonder strike goal. Hope the Reds can bounce back this Sun agst Citeh. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We are playing a system that suits highly drilled running machines in midfield and which requires our attack to drop deep to make the plays - but to a diminished attack as a result. How many times this season have we seen our attack pouring through onto a defence that doesn't know what to do with the intensity of the attack this season?
Instead we have Salah receiving the ball with his back to goal a lot and Mane and Firmino then running from deeper trying to create options but being tracked by midfielders as well as facing a defence with no real problems because they are mostly allowed to stay in shape by what we do. If you want to play a tighter system you need a playmaker in midfield who can get on the ball and create space. The Firmino 9/10 position has been figured out by any manager of a top side as well. Crowd Firmino and you crowd our attack. And its easy to do that when our midfield is all about closing down space but we cant create it. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
And FFS, why did Klopp bring in Sturridge on the 87min? He thought Sturridge could do another Chelsea again? In fact @HT, Salah should be removed already cos he was totally ineffective.
