Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Klopp needs to pull Matip off now for Konate, just like in the last game at the Emirates.
This is costing us big |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Very weird game, but the 3 points is what all that matters
Won both of our league games without our AFCON players and other key players like Thiago, and into a LC final as well as the next round of the FA Cup. Alisson by far man of the match, what I didn't think I'd be saying after our brilliant first 35 mins with Robertson in particular looking superb. However after 35 lovely mins we became shit except for Alisson. Don't know what Klopp told them at HT but it did not help, actually we looked worse Matip really doesn't look right at the moment, and Van Dijk had a really dodgy second half, but it was always going to take a long time for him to get back to his best. Think this match shows the real reason why we're so many points behind City - not their spending, but because we're sloppy in too many games this season when we take leads. Our openness in midfield can't continue like this, especially in the upcoming CL knock out stage. If we're this open we'll get punished. And honestly thought the pen was a tad soft but I'll take it. We had a Friend indeed Oh and Fabinho can't stop scoring |

Alisson world class and he saved the 3 points. Fabinho penalty taking was excellent.

Alisson kept The Reds in the game if not it could just had ended in a draw or worst defeat....very strange indeed the first 30 mins simply awesome then just went downwards from there..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Klopp on Alisson:
"I said to him 'thank you for saving our ass again' he said 'it's my job'!" [Sky] Klopp's comments to the BBC sums it up well I think - Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC: "Massive. It is obviously January which is a tricky period for us historically - well at least during my time! You play without three players in Africa and a few others so we had a small group to get through this but the boys did incredible. "It showed how insanely good we can be and how bad as well! For 35 minutes we were outstanding. We looked really sharp and ready to play in small spaces then two or three sloppy passes and the stadium is back, Palace is back and we did not start well in the second half. We had our moments but we did not control it any more. If you lose a little bit of focus it showed how tired we could be as Palace played a really good game. We opened the door for them and they ran through." On the start: "It was really good. It was exceptionally good, that's true. Palace had a proper plan which didn't work at all because of us. If we are in a different moment - a bit more fresh maybe - and we could keep that going it would have been tough for Palace but we couldn't. I am more than happy with how we have gone through this January period." On title chances: "No. The distance is too far to talk about it but we don't have to. We just need to win football matches. Each Premier Leauge game is difficult like we saw today. We made it more exciting than necessary! We will see what happens in the final few months." You guys know I love Klopp to bits but once again must raise this issue which concerns me a lot... This high line is nerve-wracking!! I get the risk reward element and I get we have huge trust in Alisson to bail us out but we could make life so much easier for ourselves by dropping even 5 yards. |

Colombian Luis Diaz aged 25 a midfielder or winger.
Signed from Porto. He rejected Spurs and wanted Liverpool. How good is he?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Hadn't really expected anything this month other than perhaps one or two out, so this is a really nice surprise
Interestingly, think Everton tried to sign Diaz last summer, in a swap deal with James Rodriguez, but he declined the move. Now Conte must be fuming as Diaz was close to signing for Spurs before we swooped in. First Spurs lose out on Traore to Barca and now this. Wonder if Conte shall walk away from Spurs? Selling Origi, Minamino and possibly Philips to cover the Diaz deal would be tremendous. Think Leeds making a bid for Taki? And this would leave us still with all that cash going going into the summer. Additionally, the excess saved in wages, may also pay for Salah? (fingers crossed!) Succession planning starting to take place which looks good for the future - Diaz, Jota, Konate, emergence of Elliott and Jones and hopefully a new midfielder to join in the summer. As an aside, another good piece of news. According to Gazzetta dello sport, Inter's best player Barella misses both games against Liverpool in the upcoming CL knock out round tie. Inter has been informed by UEFA and won't appeal. I was hoping for one game but yeah it is what it is |
