if from IM3 indo network to sms to spore no. is PR500/sms..
to their local ho no. is PR300/sms..
telkomsel not so sure, but must be lesser than IM3..

It sure did hinder my trip to Bintan. Besides basic bahasa indonesian is not that difficult to learn. You can cram a few dozen words and phrases over a weekend.

It is near to Utama hotel, 2~3 min walk to there only, if you know where is utama hotel lar.....

Btw, it is one of the oldest foodcourt in batam, most driver know lar....

More or less it will hinder abit lar, but you will be surprice that most people in btm know abit of english (immigration people, taxi driver, foodcourt). Of course, chinese there do speak chinese, teochew or hokkien....and some indon malay cewek also can speak teochew and hokkien.

Try your luck and enjoy your trip if you go btm lah.
(I once get to know a girl (Indon malay girl) only by speaking engish to her, and she insist to sms and talk to me only in english, and refuse to teach me bahasa indonesia, she said that is to revent me from flirting around with other indon cewek, hehehe.)

But according to the link provided by Bro DNAT, it reads RP4500 (fm simPATI service provider) to sms fm Indon to Sillypore. Such a wide difference between RP4500 and RP500? i.e. simPATI & IM3???

Though massages are still available but still I sort of feel uncomforable visiting such places during this mth for fear of tip-off. Sekali ended up paying coffee money again.

In fact I juz came back fm Batam tis afternoon...after passing some $$ to my cewek to balek kampong. Very quiet here. Cewek from joint only can come out 9pm, wtf. Not worth booking. Its best to lie low this mth. Its only a mth anyway. Avoid unnecessary trouble with the fanatics there.
