I removed the other thread because it's not appropriate in that section which is for newbie questions and test messages.

The reason why you're getting zapped has nothing to do with TCSS. I'll bet my bottom dollar that it's a spillover effect from the real world.

That's what happens when lines between cyberspace and reality become blurred. People who met you in real life and who took a dislike to you (for whatever reason) are now victimising you behind the cloak of anonymity.

Keeping your nick secret would have helped but a few careless words from those who don't have their wits about them, and there are many such people here, revealed your real identity within 24 hours.

It's hardly a new phenomenon. It's been happening since way back in 1996 in the days of soc.culture.singapore "user meets". In some cases, careers and relationships were totally destroyed as a result of fallout that originated in real life and carried over into cyberspace.

The advice in my signature is there for a reason. I have seen it all.

Not that I recall boss. The zapping started before Pms and I haven't engaged anyone on any instant messenger engine. In fact most of the people PMing me have helped to up my points. Maybe my posts are too "provocative" and goes against someone in the ruling party.
