3 years ago, I fell in love with a girl introduced to me by her friend. After just 3 dates, I mustered up the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend and everything came together from then onwards. I had the best times of my life with her as we travelled the world together and we stayed over at each others' places so frequently I felt like we were already married and had a family of our own. It felt so real.

And then, things went downhill from there as I knew that living in Singapore isnt cheap and so I took on other jobs to save as much money as I could so that we could one day have enough to settle down. The quarrels began as she demanded more time from me and I insisted that I have to do those jobs and I was focused on money. Even on trips overseas, I would be thinking of how to make more to give her a better future.

Then, one day, after so many fights over this issue, I finally snapped and uttered the request to end it. I went numb for months and weeks and I didn't cry until 3 years later, one day, when I was surfing the net, I came across her profile, saw her picture and broke down. The memories came rushing back and the floodgates opened. I was shocked that a thing that I thought I had buried for 3 years came back so suddenly and the impact of all our times together couldnt stop those tears from falling and the heartache sliced me apart like a thousand sharpened knives stabbing at my heart.

It was too late. Today, I would have given all my fortune to be with her again. But she had moved on. Its true what people say. That no amount of money in this world can buy you true love. And if I were to be given one more chance, I would have given up everything for her for money can be earned back. But for that special one in your heart that you truely love, that person, once gone, might never return or be found ever again. No amount of money can cover the empty void left by the other person.

Many girls tried to enter my life but all failed to make an impact because that special girl is just so irreplacable.

Yes... I had Ben and when we broke off... I went thru some horrible phase...
When we had the chance to patch back finally, we discovered the person we were passionately in love with was no longer there. We have changed...
Thus we broke off and had closure.

Probably the lack of closure or the hope of how things would have turned out...feed the desire to pursue the lost relationship.

Time will soothe the hurt, fade the memories n definitely heal the wounds...
Finding a new guy would keep the lonely teary times away.

This is the most frightening thing that rattles me. That a person you once so loved wholeheartedly can just suddenly change. Sometimes, I sit up in the middle of the night and think to myself, whether I can ever give 100 percent again to another person and I just can't bring myself to come to terms with this brutal fact. How can somebody just wipe another person off from your life just like this confounds me. It is like denying the existence of a close family member in your life. Can human beings really be this cruel?

Sigh... I guess different people have different emotional attachments to their past relationships. Some can forget and move on fast, while its near impossible for some others to forget..

I'm the second type like some bros here... I would go near her place and stay for a while at times and even more so when i'm feeling down.. just hoping to see her from afar and know that she's alright. She remained a very important person to me..
