Alot of them just here to work not love or even talk about feelings

A confirmed scam was like the 5 cans of premium abalone which I bought in China, when my maid opened them up for dinner, it turned out to be chicken breast meat instead (To All Black Heart Ah Tiong Merchants, I salute you all with utmost Hokkein poem cos this was a very innovative high handed scam!!! ) Fake millk powder is really heaven forbid and cruel. One can imagine that if they are able to bury their hearts and replacing them with "wolf's heart dog's lungs", you think there's compassion for us - Foreigners?

Bro codicerous, investment offers (or scam) are rather common among the PRC and Viets. Personally, I came across such "Timber Investment" offers some 2 years ago. Almost exact storyline with added "sob" ingredients as father bankrupt and wanna helped him back on his feet and "so happened", a relative got a plantation. Best part was: There's even an excel feasibility study worksheet (probably done by a PRC dog or another silly SG man). Yes, 10K is not a large amount for business (not even enough for a food stall) but money be well spent without regrets if used it to help our own relatives or close friends. Anyoldhow, as a gesture of goodwill, you may wanna offer her $100 or $1000 max (bonk her few times, investment already recovered) as a tiny shareholder and see how she will react

A FL is someone who is willing to give up their moral and bodies in exchange for money ... surely won't mind giving their moral in exchange to KC those so-called kindhearted man (or often called Stupid man)....

In case this business is geniue, she wont mind give up her moral again to con all your investment and profit away ... when times come ...

Nevertheless, if you felt that it's worth a go, then i reckon you watch it closely personally ... as contract or agreement is usually just few pieces of paper when come to disagreement in PRC

Never ever trust a PRC. Where money is concerned they will even sell their parents / children for it. They have no morals and are unscruplous under all that wayang facade they put on public.

Your PRC gal gave you a very convincing story. But, for people who've experience, it's clearly a trap.

I know many PRCs. Had lived in China before. There're many loopholes in her story. It's not that easy to start a timber business in china. You need connections, especially with the authority. The amount she stated also sound fishy. You should ask her more questions like where is her uncle Timber plantation. How is she going to market the timber etc.

1) she wants to get out of the trade (who doesn't right?)
2) her family is above average, but she left home already so does not take money from her family. (thus in this trade)
3) Father suggested to her opening a timber factory together, raw materials taken from her uncle (who owns the tree farm)
4) Total cost is around 300,000 yuan. Her father asked her to cough out 100,000.
5) she is about 50,000 yuan short, thus she asked me. I told her I can't just give her 50,000 yuan just like tt...
6) she told me to think of it as an investment.. etc (she SAID, once everything is up, can get 10% return per annum which is only about 5000 per year, which is 400 yuan per month ~ SGD$80)

credits to her, she did not attempt to KC me at all... all the sweet talk, holding hands etc, all dun haf... let alone doing her raw. (even if she is willing I also wun)... I also don't know how the KC started... I don't expect her to marry me in future, I know it will lead to nowhere as she doesn't want to stay in SG, I wun give up my job to go China and settle down..... but I just want to help her get out of this trade.

In the course of being with her, you had exposed your greatest weak point. Your sincere hope of helping her to get out of this trade.

We all know to help someone financially / to have a better life, meaning have to fork out money. Open mouth say help help help, but no money come out we also pai seh.

So she started to paint the picture that she is a damsel in distress, drowning in the deep blue sea, in a perfect storm, waiting for a knight in shining armour to save her. This aroused the hero instinct in every man & we are tempted to help.

but we have to remember that she comes from a above average family (assuming what she said true) and she choose to leave and live her life by selling her body, making easy money. How can we convince ourselves that she will give up this life style & work hard for every penny, overnite? She had already overcome her mental barrier & chances is she will continue to use her body to generate more fast cash, until the demand/return become not viable as she aged/ or found a rich man to take care of her.

Your kindness to help someone is good but the money is unlikely to come back, even though the whole story is true. In future she tell you business failed, no money to return you also LAN LAN. Worse still, she may just disappeared. She is living in a very faraway land and a very big country.

So to summarise, its likely to be a decision to;
a) donate SGD 10K (approx.) to a WL to try her luck in business (if true)
b) Conned SGD 10K (approx.) by a WL who laughed her way to the bank / gambled it away in days. (if not true)

There are many options to do good deeds with SGD 10K (approx.)
a) take good care of your parents / family
b) 放生（for those animals to be killed or eaten）
c) Donate to set up school to third world countries
d) use it to help those ladies whom are really forced into prositution.
e) other meaningful stuffs. etc

Being kind always invite this kind of problem. I also always have this kind of problem. We got to learn how to deal with it. Be wise with our hard earned money and not be exploited.
