Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

Thank you Bro Cassanova for such a long reply. I really respect your decision to still stick to giving WLs a fair chance in choosing a spouse. It takes lots of guts and painful hearts. From my experience with the tainted and untainted (I don't mean virgins, just those who never sold their bodies), it's far better to marry the untainted. Not that it will surely work out, or would not work out for those who marry and ex-WL, but the chances of success is different.

Between a WL in Joo Chiat and one of those from the marriage agencies, I would say, to those looking for a wife, choose the latter. Much higher chance of success.

For those who married a ex-WL, it's possible to find happiness. Just that, if you not in the boat permanently yet, perhaps should consider jumping ship. I'm sure you would give such advice even to your son.

I have nothing against WLs. But if you ask me to marry them, that's another story.

IMHO it is not adviceable to find a spouse from the matchmaking agent. Firstly the agent r just blood sucker, u hv to pay a huge fees 10k (now maybe lower due to gloomy economic) to them. only a handful sum of $$ will be given to the gal's parents (few hundreds).

Secondly u only get to know ur potential spouse only few minutes, and u hv to make a decisive to 'buy' her.

Thirdly, the agent always use the gal 'chastity' as the selling point to attract potential customers. U will be surprise some r not virgin at all and also work as WL before.

forth, IMHO it is against human rights to just disply the gals at the showroom for potential customer to pick them.

Well, no problem at all!

Its not that I side with WLs or anything. I may be seen as a fanatic supporter of Viet WL in this forum but its only because i felt many misunderstand them as a human being and fault them for "doing their job" as a WL. To know a WL as she is at her workplace is different from living with them for 1-2 years. You get to see a different side of them when not at work. you may be a regular at their workplace who frequent the joint 7 days a week but as it is you still see the working side of them....and this is where judgements are given so i would rather see myself as presenting a different side of them....as someone offering a differing view from the mainstream opinions according to my experiences. It drew flak but still i will carry on.....

Nevertheless, using the much mentioned saying, one man's meat is another's poison!

In my time living with them, i have also seen vicious ones living off man's money and cheating man of money seems like their nature. Which is why i too, acknowledge the existence of such gals and have sounded my warning to bros in my own thread.

Indeed, with different mindsets, different experiences and differing outlook towards life and the path we take as human beings, we will definitely have different opinions. This in fact is the wonder and marvel of life! haha!! Nothing is absolutely right or wrong. Its lies in the experiences we've had so far. So take everything i've said with a pinch of salt for what i've encountered may or never be what another person have met so far....but it does widen the shared experiences with Viet WLs no?

Well, my personal experiences with marriage agencies has not been good, which is why i have decided not to put my wife's sister thru one, in finding her a Bf and eventual husband. Have you not heard of Wls 'sewing up their pussies' before landing themselves in such agencies? I've had friend of my wife doing so... and since then, i;ve judged that these marriage agencies are more looking to close the deal for their comms than the welfare of their clients and gals under their charge. Personally, i am also of the opinion that some of them are morally unethical, so too are the man who go to such agencies looking for virgins. Well, they're paying so i guess they have a right but what difference does it make if pussies can be sewn up?? just to sastify their over-flowing chauvanistic egos perhaps??

In a nutshell, no matter where you found your wife, i would say they are still the end of the day, your vietnamese wife. Its the 1st day after your marriage that your journey starts...that understanding each other on another level starts...and its where this thread comes into view and where we share about of different experiences with our Vietnamese partners....in order to understand them better and to know them better and of course to improve our relationships with them....

Therefore, lets continue sharing our experiences with our Vietnamese partners , no matter what they worked as before, where they were from (countryside, city, agencies etc). Let's focus on their similarity as Vietnamese wives and worked on "taming" them!! hahahahaha!!

Good day Gentlemens!!

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

The lure of Vietnam

WL or not, as they say, after married, close one eye.

Just like to check if any bro have thought of staying in VN, once it's no longer viable to work in Sillypore, could be due to retirement, or kenna retrenched and cannot find a gainful employment (due to age?) here. Of course, let's assume that we have some money, about say S$500,000, and leave children out of the picture.

Buying land and building house no problem, about $50K can do the job. My other considerations would be permanent residency or some long term stay (can't survive on those 1 month visa), and earning a small keep. Of course, don't plan to give up SP citizenship, just fly in once a year or so. Enjoy the good weather, landed property, and cheaper standard of living.

Any comments/advice?

$50K for a house in vietnam? U need to find out more about the country. If you plan to stay in HCM City or other main cities in vietnam, $50K Singapore dollars or US dollars will get you no where near to the stardard of a 3 room flat in Singapore. Even if you stay in a standard town house in far away districts like D8, having US$150K to US$200K will come in useful.

I have stayed there for a 4 1/2 years full time before coming back to Singapore. I will say that vietnam offers lots of space, cheap food (if you eat at road side or cook at home), cheap labour (cheap maids from province) but surely not cheap properties and cars. From my experience there:

CHEAP : (1) Maids (2) Food eg, meat , fish and also road side stores EXPENSIVE: (1) Housing / properties (2) Transportation eg cars (3) International standard healthcare

Good: Lots of space, friendly people , lots of WL for bonking
bad: polluted air, crazy traffic, crime rate, inefficient police and other government agencies

to each their own. But in singapore, we are paying too high price for a tightly regulated and high class services. I will surely move back to vietnam when i retire next time.

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

Few days no read this thread... so many guys kena Viet kong tao....

There are about 86 millions Viets. Assume 10% are decent 18-25 yrs old unmarried gers. The total number of young decent gers will be about twice of whole SG population. Hmmm there are about thousands WL in SG. Why choose 1 ger from the thousands??

End of the day, it is one individual life. I always say, if this individual kena con big time or sad ending, it is his life, but if he is happily marry, we just feel happy for him. Anyway, these 2 cases dun bother us much cos we still live our own life.

I still love this phrase, "She is different from other WL."

I will surely move back to vietnam when i retire next time.
Although I go to Vietnam to relax once a while, the items stated by SingViet hinder me from thinking of going vietnam for retirement.

Retire means old age, so need more healthcare, I do not think Vietnam will have subsidised healthcare like in SG. Old age more prone to be a target for criminals.

It seems that there is no loans for housing, properties and cars in Vietnam. Please confirm.

The cheap things seems to be food, but when we are old, I do not thing we will eat much and will only have simple healthy meal. This will mean it is still affordable in SG.

Some give good BJ and suck you dry
Some can fcuk in the public
Some are good on bed
Some are dead fish (sianz)
