Re: Do you regret marrying?

When u r single, wanna marry
When u r married, wanna be single

All i can say is find the rite on willing to pull her fair share and go thru shit with u. Hard to find these days, every one so obsessed with vanity, status and face. So its a form or life lottery.

Im not worrued abt Women charter or divorce, cos if it comes then u gotta play the game too.

I personally make myself independent, cos at the end of the day everyone can walk away from u, u just have to go on and do what you wanna do.

Re: Do you regret marrying?

I didn't benefit from the women's charter. My ex didn't have to pay me any alimony cos he refused and I didn't insist either. He pays a token sum of less than $300 for his son who stays with me. He refused to pay more and I was too tired to fight for more either. He took a higher percentage from the house sale and I didn't fight w him too. We divorced cos he was too possessive and I just wanted out. So, I think if the divorce is mutual, the woman may not necessarily be nasty to the guy. Unless the guy did something wrong, then I think the woman has the right to demand more and that's when the guys will hate the charter. I have other friends who div with no drama too so it's not uncommon.

At 24, I wouldn't advocate TS to get married. But I would advise him not to close the option but just enjoy life as it comes to him. Sometimes, things are beyond our control and we just need to learn to embrace life and be happy. We can decide and plan for the future but what it brings, nobody knows...

Did you ask for $1 alimony? Will be good as can request for more in future if need...

Someone ever said here before that a couple in marriage are looking to jump out of it, while those not married are trying to jump in... That's life

No, I didn't as I know he won't agree cos I earn more than him. That's why I said I didn't benefit from the charter. I earn my own money and bring up my boy based on whatever I take home. So far so good.

There are happily married couples too. It's all a game of luck and if fate decides to cast a good spouse to you, you will be blessed for life.

Do I regret marrying?

No. I do not. I married him because he was the best. He is still the best. I trusted in my own judgement and I wasn't wrong. Circumstances happened though. Just like it would to anyone else. That was all to it.

That's what the bro actually want to do the transferal of assets to his parents in the first place. If you know that your other half has more assets, will you be asking for them?

Marriage is really pure luck. It's more than that...Human change, environment change or every changes would happen...Who know

Bro, the world is providing more options than the yesteryear world. You seem to prefer variety more than just stick to one spouse

Womens Charter as explained to simpletons like me in layman terms is:-

What the guy brings into the marriage becomes "theirs".
What the gal brings into the marriage remains as "hers".

So in the event of divorce the guy cannot touch the gal assets, but she can have a share of the guy assets.

This show how govt is really out of sync with the modern world right now. Here we have proven case of woman able to do better than man. Why the charter still in place?
