Also, did you even bother to read ANY of the reports/FR's that others have taken the trouble to write and post up before you ask the above?

Even if you just read the page before this, you will find a summary of what's generally available in Hong Kong.

Hi Sir I read the forums but may I ask u why there are not many ktv joints in HK?

The “Golden Era” of Hong Kong KTV’s is about 2 decades ago when there were so many huge opulent palaces, stocked with the best girls available in Asia, filled every night with punters flushed with cash from the easy money during those happy days. Those days, access to China was quite limited, facilities there were not up to par plus mongering in China was quite dangerous/many Hong Kongers were afraid of being nabbed. Plus there were only a couple crowded border crossings which closed at midnight, thus one must stay overnight if they wanted to party in Shenzhen; not so nowadays.

LOL – weird – 20 years on and China has reverted back at least 20 year as far as LE danger is concerned. The irony! But that’s another topic!

Anyway, as China opened up, facilities improved by leaps and bounds, Hong Kongers found that mongering in China was way cheaper, the girls way better and it wasn’t long before the Hong Kong KTV’s started closing down.

Now you basically only have some of the over-priced Tsimshatsui ones that cater to tourists still expecting "something" in Hong Kong (crap old girls charging by the hour and 2,500 ++ for "take-out,") some discreet tiny Japanese/Korean ones upstairs around Causeway Bay (if you think the ones in TST is expensive - wait till you party in one of these!!) or the truly horrid ones in Mongkok/Shamshuipo which are nothing more than venues for guys to come, look, choose and go upstairs!

One of the "Veggie/family" KTV's?

Except for the bishop lei in the mid levels and another one owned by the church in Wanchai (sorry, forgot the name) all hotels in Hong Kong are girl friendly - of course including the regal
