Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I think Rafa has too much in his head liao, rice bowl is more important then Reds performance ... maybe he knows he is leaving liao, so the hell with it ... more or less players must be stressed up, you think Gerrard will still be around next season

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Oh come on you guys, stop stating the obvious. We have been playing like shit with a manager whose tactics is so stubborn and blind. Kinda like the days before Houllier's reign ends. Rafa always says 'we deserve to win' at the post match conference, even though we dun deserve to win. Just like how Houllier used to say we have turned a corner at every post match conference.

For all u negative but realistic liverpool supporters, sit back and wait for the posts from the forever positively biased fans like King Eros and Rahl to entertain u. They will tell u how silly u have been to feel disappointed with Rafa.

With injury-time just about over, Carragher brought down Ljungberg in the penalty area. Noble converted the spot-kick.

Nobody did, where StarHub was concerned ... wonder if Rahl managed to siphon the match via streaming?
If he did, then I guess he's the only one qualified to state if THE MATCH was another disappointment or not ... we all know the result certainly was.

Heheh King, I did catch the match (about the only time I am happy about not being in Singapore). Something called TVants helped

Well, people will say I am being biased (but of course I am so what the heck).

We played the same pattern as we have in recent weeks, i.e. horrible first half, then improved second half and tried to win it at the end. Only this time, sucker punch in injury time. Yes that's right, we were on top until West Ham's counterattack caught us out, leading to the penalty.

It was an open game throughout, and in the first half, West Ham showed more hunger and drive. They bossed the midfield (had 5 midfielders) and Carlton Cole was a handful for Carra and Sami. Our passing was poor - Alonso gave the ball away plenty times, which forced Stevie to play too defensively. Aurelio's defending suspect. Kewell had one of those days.

One player I want to criticise - and I believe no amount of transfer fee or talent should prevent that - is Torres. He showed his usual fight and pace but lost the ball too many times due to poor passes and touches. Not like him but much the same can be said of the team.

We only improved, I have to admit, because Curbishley tried to attack more. He brought on Ashton which meant the midfields were numerically equal and allowed Stevie to get forward. The game changed in the second half.

Rafa's maddening decisions? I can't understand why he didn't bring Crouch on at the end.

That's my take

PS. Despite the humorous demeanor of the post, I am shattered by the defeat. I watched it happen to us. 7 am over here.

Very sickening rite bro, during the post match interview always hear him say that"we need to focus...we need to improve...we got to start winning..if he really mean wat he said, why looks like we r going 4 the uafa cup next season instead of CL qualification!!I think rafa already lost his interest to our beloved club, maybe he is wating 4 the club to sack him so that he can get his compensation inreturn(perhaps we can call this as ransom)..he is not stupid afterall!!

Yo bro, you cut and paste my post must cut with more skill leh. My wasn't at the end of that paragraph u quoted. Wait people think i'm very happy to hear Rafa talk like Houllier. I'm damn sad ok.

Which Liverpool fan here has been enjoying the way we play? It's not just the poor results I'm talking about. Even when we win, a lot of times we play unattractive, timid football. Got so much talent, I dunno why we are scared to attack even the lesser teams. A lot of us can see and agree we have been playing badly and achieving bad results. That's why some call for Rafa to leave. U wake up early in the morning or sleep late at night to watch Pool live, see them play like shit and lose, who here wun be tu-lan? If you dun feel disappointed, u aren't a true fan.

But beneath all disappointment and anger, we are still Pool fans and this is the time to stick behind the team. I understand why some here wants us to continue supporting Rafa regardless of result. Regardless of the result and the taunts from other fans, I will still wear my Pool shirts with pride. This CNY, I will wear the latest Pool polo T with gold thread (sibei nice to me) to visit relatives.

So as a Pool fan, I'm quite confused as to what to do sometimes. After a poor display, if I dun feel sad or disappointed, then I dun think I'm a real Pool fan. So like many of us, I will come here KPKB to voice disappointment. But KPKB too much also not right as it's time for real Pool supporters to really get behind the team and hope they get out of this slump. Not easy to be Rafa now with the team in a slump, the bosses wanting u out.

What to do ah.... what to do...
