One group is female and are a bunch of fugly butches. They wear jackets and cluster in 3-4. If you come out of the underground shopping centre at the LHL exit where the new bus terminal is (maybe you can see this man and his large moneky doing tricks), walk pass the legit hairdresser shops on your left and 100 metres ahead is their observation point where the first wooden benches are located. This group is opposite those wooden benches (meaning the pickpockets are on your left as you walk into LHL) at the T junction with a small path that goes into some bargain area for locals.

One of them even look like Sumo Hung (洪金宝) in a chequered jacket. Look out for her as she is quite distinctive. You will see 3-4 more vomit-inducing butches with her scanning people walking past.

I went to Zhuhai twice and spotted them the first time and again they are there the second time at the same location.

Group 2 is across the road where open-air bar stalls end. It is on the shaded side where there are porno DVDs and fruits for sale.

This group has a very small-sized BLONDE ANGMO boy-man. Maybe about 1.5m. He is not a midget but well-proportioned, just small. His father must have left his seeds inside some whore's pussy and probably never knew he has a son.

Well, Blondie boy-man stands in front of one of the small roads that disappears into the sides of Gongbei and scanned me up and down sharply with his hands inside his jacket like a prey as I definitely look like a non-local with my large haversack. That's how I knew he's a pickpocket.

There are 3-4 more with him.

If any of these lot starts following you, stay near any Gongan patrolling LHL and tell him you may be followed. But you will be stared at by the whole street, thinking what has happened again. I wasn't followed or approached any Gongan but this is just my suggestion and good guess as to how LHL bar customers and mei meis will respond.

I actually went to Jiu Ba Jie on my 2nd trip with Bro GodsendSYT and XY. Really an eye opener. Didn't realise got such hip place in GB. Those local youngsters can really sing, dance, smoke and drink. But not for me as I'm not a party animal nor a drinker.

Ha ha.. it's also my 1st time there to drink.. to me not really a bad place to relax.. but too bad, me not really a party animal..

ya, when SGPeans talk amongst themselves, it's very obvious. Similarly, it's oso v obvious when Msians talk amongst themselves. But Msians' profile not as high as SGPeans. Partly thanks to LKY & Pappy, always number 1 this, number 1 that, Temasek's investments, etc.

Hey, Beijing accent v different & obvious from Taiwanese, Shanghainese accents leh. The northern accent is very distinct & obvious. Even Shanghainese accent oso quite typical / obvious. Taiwan accent, northern vs southern Taiwan accents oso quite distinct, but some people may get confused. Some Chinese (Mandarin) phrases used by Taiwanese are also different from mainland.

But the fact that when they choot pattern, and when u give in, that will give them the idea that these customers can be conned / cheated / chopped easily. Anyway, the market has been spoilt oredi, wont be able to u-turn it in a short time.

Usually, if it's not yan da period & no physical fight / nobody's injured, u wont end up in jail. They're more likely to end up in jail as they belong to "groups". Such entertainment, though illegal, is wide spread country-wide. Of course, the Public Security's hands are greased, but there are also unwritten rules, such as, the PSB doesn't want trouble / fight with customers, no fighting amongst gangs for business / turfs, etc. They oso need to cooperate during yan da, or whenever PSB needs information / cooperation for whatever investigation / purposes.

wah, u XY's runner in SBF? Anyway, that'll be yan da country-wide due to Olympics. There'll usually be yan da whenever there's some major events or festivals.

I oso didnt know that PRC changed it's immigration / visa policy, that all foreign passport holders must apply for visa from PRC Embassy in their passport country, even for 1 day visit, for whatever purposes (ie, business, holiday, etc) into the PRC.

My frens were surprised that I can enter Shanghai & Beijing directly from Australia. My associate in UK was also checking with me just now, cos we need to send a bunch of Consultants to work in Beijing. My frens told me, some of his colleagues' visa application were rejected with no reasons given.

So anyone who's planning to cheong ZH or nearby cities such as DG or CP, travel via Macau, better take note. U'll be rejected entry at GB customs if u dont have a proper visa in your passport.

finally after settling most of my projects, i will be jetting off to HK soon for a well-deserved break this time, as i am unfamiliar with alot of the other cities in guangdong, i will begin my foray into the southern china scene by checking out ZH first on my maiden voyage

i have more or less decided to take the ferry from HK airport direct to ZH JiuZhou Port. But from there, i don't really know what to expect:

- i have decided on staying at Chang An NEW World Hotel at
LHL (when i did a google search, the hotel name is Chang An GOOD world
Hotel, are they the same?). And when i walk-in, what is the rate i should
be paying? 300rmb per nite? can i negotiate if they quote me a higher rate?

- From JiuZhou Port to Chang An New World, what should i be paying for the
taxi fare? Is it by meter?

- Reading the past few posts here, it seems LHL is not exactly a safe place
to pick up girls. Besides KTVs (which can be quite ex), are there any places
i can go for some chio meimeis? (anything like the MPs in Macau?)

- Shopping! Haha..looking forward to get some t-shirts or watches. Good
areas to shop? How are the quality of the fakes here as compared to
places like BKK?

Hope my first adventure in ZH will be a good one. Need bros here to guide me on the 'dos and donts'.

Ha ha.. i know what u mean.. but when i'm in SH, so taxi driver, HC manager etc.. most of the time will mistake me as Taiwanese cause we speck Hokkien.. So will think i'm from BJ when i cross over from BJ to SH, n u know lah.. alot of us like to act n speck like them.. ha ha, so sometimes they thot i from BJ..

I should say most of the times, they will think we're from Taiwan.. i was mistaken for that many many times liao.. kns.. sometime some taiwanese thinks i'm from there also..
