Thanks Yinyang, phew that's good news. The only thing now is to make sure we cross / dash safely if there is really taxi available at arrival hall to make we don;t kena bang down before we can bang any gals.... ha ha

Adboy, u mention some bus service going to different location, so we will actually have to take the free airport shuttle to the bus station located near the airport, correct?

Hi All,
Just back from BKK.... I must say the new airport is damn big has a very nice structure. Boosting world tallest control tower. However it is very difficult to find a place to sit down and eat unlike don muang. Need to pass thru the immigration checkpoint before you see many eateries.

The only food court is found in the basement, on the arrival hall there are a row of shops selling pasteries and finger food.

Those staying near Ramkamhaeng... it is very near to the airport ...shld cost less than 180 baht.Airport tax remains at 500baht.
Overall Changi is still better.

Anyone knows where is the staff canteen located?

Previously, in the old airport, someone brought me there and I find its 50% cheaper as compared as the other outlets......

The only food court i mentioned is cheap enuff....chix rice at 30baht

The new airport seems to be further away from the city central than Don Muang. Anyone knows how long and how much it would roughly take by cab to Ratchada?

Approximately 45 minutes and cost 200B+ if there're no traffic jams along the way. Avoid evening flights into Bangkok and you should be fine.
