Election periods can turn out quite or end up in big drama, depends upon who wins or loses.

Some of the current candidate's supporters are deadly and mental enough to even send death threats to those who diss their leaders - I don't wanna guess what they will do if the guy loses.

And some party leaders are pretty obviously planning to fight it out, as they spent too much for the campaigning.

If you can, avoid PH, says me.

I doubt Duterte is gonna get rid of bars and such.

His target will be the drug lords and such, and work in the black money floating around.

My fear is immediately post election his supporters, if he wins, may become boisterous - as they are practically willing to kill anybody who dares to challenge Duterte.

And likewise, if he loses, it's gonna be very dirty.

But then again, we never know. In Philippines, the people's emotion just rises and vanishes.

See how the folks were pretty wound up against Aquino when the army was ambushed, and the memory was short lived. His opponents are not like 'move on .. '

And see how popular Marcos has become - same same. His supporters are like 'move in- his father did good also .. '.

other than the usual devera and imperial, what other hotels have u guys tried, and which r the ones hated and loved?
planning a trip in May, going from Manila to AC 20MAY, usual ride will cost PHP2700. Anyone wants to share a ride? (long shot)

It's either the ABC Hotel or the Wild Orchid Resort for me if I'm there for leisure..... and Fort Stotensburg if I'm there for work.

I have also tried la teresita, DM residente, and apollonia Royale. la teresita is general good. dm offers jaccuzi room with cheap rates but bit of old. royale is much new but rooms are small. SGD40-70 range.

There's more than the America hotel..... the old Central Park hotel was infamous for their headless female guest that they even called in a priest to exorcise the hotel.... apparently it didn't work out so the owners demolished the entire building and rebuilt a new Central Park hotel.

The Swiss Chalet hotel on Vain street is famous for its steaks and the poiteigeist room...... try staying a night in the room if you're adventurous enough...... for those interested it's the 1st room on the ground level next to the reception.
