Maybe getting tired of pattaya and thailand in general. When I walk into a agogo , I already know how the place looks like and how the girls and system operate ; right down to the deco of the place. I even know a few seats in some agogos not to sit as the aircon was leaking! The last straw was when I was invited to Peppetmint's Songkran celebrations next year! Need something fresh.

Hi bros out there. Need some suggestions into the local thai disco scene over in bkk, what are the more happening thai discos which locals go to? Am referring to places with coyote dancers and local bands. Similar to hollywood. Thanks

Btw im not a noobie with stupid questions without research. I just don't rly see anything in this thread on this topic. Am tired or sc nana agogos alr. Thanks a lot to anyone who can help me

I've been to AC 4 times in 6 months! To be safe don't flaunt your money and jewelry! Also, if any Filipino men wants to talk to you just ignore them and walk away. Most importantly, be very careful when exchanging currencies!

Thanks , its great advice to all for all places. I will also be on the lookout for snatch thieves as I've been warned that it is a problem there even for phillipiinos! Handphones are the most vulerable

Cheong places naturally attract the lowest scum out to make a fast buck so safetly is always no1. Eye contact is important ; look straight and unfriendly (even angry!) on the streets and no one will approach you. But even locals fall for these scams so always go out preparing to to lose everything on you - this will remind yourself not to bring too much out.

Good advice, walk like a man with a mission, don't be scared! Biggest concerns are too many hoodlums are loitering in the streets due to high unemployment and lack of money and it seems that they wants to pounce on any weakling so act tough and no one will bother you!

After 4 trips, I'm already tired of that place! Next is Macau or KL!

Shops and JJ all open but no alcohol served at restaurants and bars/go-gos closed. I was caught last year in similar situation when Bangkok had a district by-election. My fav go-go was closed like for 2 or 3 days and when ordered beer with my dinner the owner said "can't sell". But I think u still can get booze at 7-11 and supermarkets. Chok dee naa!

No you cannot get booze during the election hours at 7-11 or supermarkets either. Maybe the small shops will sell as they are under the radar. Some bars will open but no music and minimum lights ; depends on discrict police

Its a general election so its nationwide but make sure you check the dates as there will definitely be by-elections or other elections in different areas.

One thing we have to remember is that thailand is not Singapore , they dont plan ahead and some business doesnt even know if they are allowed or not allowed to sell/open till the night before the big day ; be it elections or religious or royal holidays.
