If I tell you that the swimming pool contains water, that is a fact. It is a fact because you can see it and touch it. Apart from that, you can conduct experiments to confirm that the liquid in the swimming pool is water (plus other stuff like chlorine, florine, urine, etc).

If I tell you that the water in the pool is very cold. That is evidence of the temperature of the water because I personally touched the water and was able to ascertain that the temperature of the water was cold.

You say you are Catholic. Catholics believe in the existence of God. Are you able to say that as a matter of fact God exists? Is there any way anyone can prove that God exists? If the fact that God exists can be proven by scientific methods, there will be no more unbelievers in this world.

Do you have evidence that God exist? Perhaps. Some people say that certain events are miracles and that these miracles are evidence of the existence of God. Some people say that the creation of mankind is evidence of the existence of God.

My take on this is that do these evidence point conclusively that God exists? I don't think so. For every evidence of the existence of God, there are counter-arguments.

Why then do people still believe in the existence of God? The key word here is "FAITH". You do not believe in the existence of God because it is a proven fact, or because of the evidence leading you to believe in the existence of God. You believe in the existence of God because of your faith.

For some people, their faith is in the existence of the Holy Trinity. Others may place their faith on the Prophet. There are also people who place their faith in the existence of spirits and demons.

Just because you grew up on a missionary school does not make you an expert in religion. I am appalled when I read your post saying that you are the last person whom we should engage in a debate on religion. Such arrogance!
