haven't been on this forum for ages (say maybe years)
did patron ICON for a few times and i would say its quite a nice place to chill out and get to know some thai friends... Beer(Froster) by jug is $22nett Chivas bottle is 148nett price is the same through out the night.... LD is $10nett last visit was on the 6th june(Wed) only 2 thai gal(one name toffy & the other forgotten) this time...(not like the previous time when was there where theres about 10 gals) one of the band boy (long hair guy) was previously performing at JD(GoldenMile) 3 sets of band performance & disco music is retro (most of the time) Planning to go there to finish my balance bottle tonight... will update u guys if theres any new gals in town...

was there the other night and i think there were at least 10 girls. Dao, Som, muey and the singer night are the lookers. Toffee, C (see?), are the cute ones. Some other girls came recently but have not managed to know their names. Not really eye catching though. Icon are starting to have some regulars though. Always see a few faces that seem to be there everytime i am there. Even the band knows all their names! Overall not a bad place to chill. Recently went to TD and did not really like the place now. Over commercialized. Might start heading to Icon more. Any bros wanna meet me just pm me!

Datuk went to ICON....(finally)
Finally got a chance to drop by for the 1st time last night....been hearing the bros talk so much about this joint.....here's my FR:
Location- A bit off and quiet though in town....last time only know here got ktv flower joints. Place- Decor nothing to shout about....looks inherited from old joint maybe? (was surprised this used to be MOS???)....the T shaped catwalk like stage seemd a tad too big. Prices- Competitive.....someone already posted beer & wine is cheaper than similar joints.....but no 4 for 1 stickers like TD Staff- Never see any muscled bouncers....maybe the customers all very well behaved.....spotted ex ibarr staff.....good ratio....attentive service ok. Crowd- Shenton way office types and no youngsters but 90% all male patrons....the handful of female customers were holed up in the pool area......Only one table of regulars when i went in at 9pm....later part almost 85% full but when last set came round most left early. Also never see any customers dance (weird) Band- Nightlights....looks newly formed with old JDee resident Labyboy impersonator there reworking old routine.....no chemistry yet.....only 3 female singers.....male vocals sounds ok.....plays more crowd pleasing english numbers than thai songs....plus point no customers on stage. Music- The DJ spins above average tunes (with requests too) but somehow still cant seemed to get staid crowd to gryrate. GROs- Counted around 10.....80% looks can make it....with mix of familiar & new faces amongst them....most not pushy with LDs ($10) but be prepared to hang flowers when they dance on stage in between sets. Flowers- No flower culture here....yet. $10 the norm....$50 already 'big spender' SUMMARY- ok place to chill when taking a break from GM.....got potential.....

Went down on a few nights back and i had to say that the place is quite cosy and clean. Band was very interactive with the customers although they didn't come to me.
! Had some good laughs and good entertainment. Felt that the sequence of of one song to another could be better but of course with the entertainment and the nice looks of 1 of the singers, it made up for it. Saw quite a few pretty gals around and i had to say that some of them dance very seductively. Heard that some of them are models. Any bros here can verify? Was introduced by one of the supervisor or manager(not very sure) a few gals. Think their names were like C and Mui. Very friendly and chatty. Overall experience was quite good.

Found the place a bit too sterilized... no customers dancing, no momentum. Hardly any decor, stage looks kinda bare. But only 1 visit so just my observations for that nite...

What i meant was now got alot of farangs and all that. Not like last time when it was like a watering hole that only regulars go. Also the agent in thailand that sends the girls over to TD lost alot of the girls cause she as over bearing and strict. So the better girls that know they have market value all went else where. Some have shown up at Icon, Live Impact etc. According to some girls, The agent in thailand ( a female). is a some sort of a girlfriend with the boss so if the girls are too pretty she also dun wanna send. Thats why there is a drop in standard. Hear a lot of sob stories also when at TD that if they dun hit quota within 7 days they will be sent back etc etc. What we want when we cheong is to enjoy their company and relax after work and not listen to all this. And to answer one of the bros questions, the girls at Icon that are models are Dao, som and muey. Offered to show me their magazine covers but have not had the chance to see them.
