Had a maid this morning at Lavender 81, didn't know it's $35 for 2 hours now. Anyway the guy serving me at the counter was polite. But when an Indian man entered and asked the price for 2 hours, he was quoted $45 by another staff. The staff was really rude to him and shouted the price right into the indian's face. When the Indian handed over $45 to him, the staff asked again for how long. The Indian said 2 hours and the staff said "$35 for 2 hours and wanted to hand over $10 back. But he retreated his hand and said again 2 hours $45. " I really wonder whether the "additional $10" goes to whose pocket?

from what i knew.. 1st time booking rooms at h81 for transit is an additional $10 more. subsequent bookings will not hav this charge. on Sun is additional charge of otherwise other days its just $30 2hrs

Dont really know the actual context, but It is disturbing to me if the person in the service industry shows differential treatment based on race, nationality, and social status. How can the counter person be rude to the Indian person just because he asked for the price? Again, I have to reiterate that we don't know whether the Indian guy is rude or not. But if the client is polite, why should he be treated differently from the Chinese guy before him?
We know that people in service industry judge us based on how we are dressed and sound. It seems to be a global norm. How sad the world has become!
