Hi Bros,

What are the procedure of opening a room in hotel like hotel81 or fragrance? Need to check any identification at the reception and how about the payment? Please help. Thanks.

Yes, you need to produce your IC.

1) get ur parents to sign ur consent form stating date & place... who's going with you to make sure u stay out of trouble if u're below 21 yrs old. or get a guardian to sign

2) u got to sms mindef if u served ur ns, 36*6* to notify them with Name, Nric, Destination, Duration

u will get a sms then u just reply " Y " to confirmed

3) make sure both parties bring consent forms & ids over to the counter, u might get student discounts if u flash ur student id.

4) Pay , get room, get upstairs & have fun. But remember to use cap

congrats on your virgin post in sbf , its taken 5 years to muster up teh courage to click New Thread

anyway you need 2 important item to enter such a hallowed and holy place that is a BUDGET HOTEL

You need
1) your IC or 11B (no student pass please)
2) Cash Monies or Major Credit Cards (they accept even the 500$ limit diner club CC you can get for nothing at AXS station)

you go to counter, say
transit 2 hour
staff will give u a form to sign , u just sign and you give them IC + monies
after they give u the key and IC back you go to the room and you do what you are there to do.

if there seems to be a que or people waitig around, then the staff will tell u of expected wait time. if u feel the time is ok, they will ask u for a contact so they can call u.

if you feel like u cannot wait, there is always the friendly and always available MSCP or Staircase for you to releases.

pricing = 20 or 30$ for two hour, and if you are Late they will charge u a full hour. (i dont know if its SAF 2359 standard of "LATE" but it better to be safe then sorry)

Pls be sure that the hotel staff personally escort u n partner up to yr designated room , i m sure u do not want to knob or enter into wrong room.

Hotel staff will show u t correct way of putting on a safety cap before yr action as a SOP safety regulation imposed by gov incase of misfire....

Many brothers have provided you with a lot of information regarding the procedure of registration. However, I would like to mention the other aspect regarding checking into a hotel room.

IMHO, you should do this:-


When you reach the door of the hotel room, make sure you knock the door three times and say, ‘Good brothers (好兄弟) excuse me. I would like to stay in this room for one day, please don’t disturb me. Thank you very much.’

Then, turned your head away from the door and open the door slightly; wait for at least 30 seconds. If you feel some sort of ‘cold wind’ gush out from the gap between the door and the wall, it could be due to some supernatural creatures.

Then, you say, ‘Thank you.’

You shall be safe to enter the room and enjoy whatever you want to do in the room.

Once you enter the room, if you smell something weird, like rotten smell of a dead rat or mouse. My advice is to change to another room.

Remember. Today is the 15th day of lunar calendar (阴历七月十五). Anything can happen. Thus, it’s good to be on guard.
