Bangkok DIY...via BTS & Subway
Cheonging BK via BTS and Subway
With the new Subway you can reach most of the MP if you alight at Huai Khwang Station. Here's a little update. Exit 2: Merchant Court Hotel Siam Beverly Hotel Caesars Entertainment (MP) Exit 3: Hi-Class (MP) Spago Club (Karaoke Club) Emmanuelle (MP/Karaoke) Nataree (MP) Subway (MP) The Emerald Hotel Pallazo Hotel Mirage Entertainment (MP/Karaoke) Exit 4: The Poseidon sign is visible from here, seems to be 400-500 m away. For those who like to take a short walk (5-10 minutes), the Petchaburi station offers 3-4 massage parlors within walking distance. Mona Lisa, Plaza Entertainment, Harlem and Atami http://www.angkor.com/2bangkok/2bang...stations.shtml http://www.bts.co.th/ Do a bit of topo, go by BTS and Subway and this will save you time and cost. Happy Bonking ........................................Bangkok on my way.

Btw, how fast from the BTS at MBK to Huai Khwang? When we were at Bkk earlier this year and as the subway was not ready then, the taxi-driver brought us for a merry-go-round via the highway before we finally reached Rachada.... |

However, in my opinion, if want to go to Poseidon or Copa, I think nearer is from Suthisarn Station, 1 station after Huay Kwang. Rgds. |

Re: Bangkok DIY...via BTS & Subway
The Ratchathewi (N1) Station is linked with covered walkway to Asia Hotel.
I take from this station downwards direct to Asok Station (E4). (There is a interchange at Siam Chit Station near Siam Square.) You must alight at Asok Station and went downstair to change to Sukhumvit Skytrain Line and the station to your destination are as follows: 7. Sukhumit 8. Petchaburi 9. Rama 9 (Phra Rama) 10. Thai Cultural Center 11 Huai Khuang ----------alight here for massage outlets (as per my list) 12 Suthisam ------------alight here if you want to go to Poseidon (Note: the No. 7 to 12 are Sukhumvit Skytrain Line station no.) From Asia Hotel to Asok Station is 8 min and the fare is 25 Baht. The whole journey cost less than 70 baht (less than $3) and takes about 15 to 20 mins. That's all for update now......................to continue.

Re: Bangkok DIY...via BTS & Subway
I find the BTS and MRT system does not save much in terms of transportation in Bangkok. Generally, taking taxi is more convenient and the fares are not that expensive as compared to their train systems. But for those who wish to aventure Bangkok on their own. Their train systems could be good, very similar to Singapore's MRT. Most of their stations have easy access to shopping centres and places of attractions. Not easy to get lost.

Re: Bangkok DIY...via BTS & Subway
In the early days, I used to call taxi no doubt is cheap compared to here but there are times that the destination is just behind a few buildings but taxi due to only one-way carriage way you are taken a long ride and could be very time consuming particularly office hours, jams almost everywhere, hot and stuffy. Get too convenient and addicted to taxi you will not border to locate where the actual location of your destination liao........and till this date still lost in this concrete jungle...it is me hehehe...now learn to go BTS + subway lor..
