Would you beat up a boy who took photos of your girlfriend?



The fearful cries of a young school boy followed by the angry shouts of a man caused a commotion at Outram MRT Station.

Student Daniel, 24, witnessed this incident on 26 April at 3pm.

The unknowing child, who was alone, had cheekily taken a picture of the man's scantily dressed girlfriend with his camera phone, much to the outrage of the protective boyfriend.

The man was so incensed he kept shouting at the boy, and even started pulling the boy's t-shirt.

The frightened boy fell to the floor, sobbing loudly, but this did stop the man from scolding him.

Unable to just stand by and do nothing, Daniel called for the station master to intervene.

The station master managed to break up the scene, and took the boy to the station office.

Daniel was extremely upset by the man's violent treatment of the boy.

"I agree that what the boy did may have been wrong, but this is still no way to treat a mere child, he's so young!" he told STOMP.

If I were the BF, I probably would react the same way too. Nowadays, many children and teachers are no longer as innocent as we were in the past. Just my 2 cents worth.

Let's not jump to the conclusion. The boy could be part of the syndicated voyeurism gang that took photo of unsuspected women. For all you know, the girl's pic could be posted on the web. Question to ask is how would the girl feel if her scantily dressed pic appears on the web without her consent?

From what I feel, if the bf can get so violent and over-protective to that extent... He should discipline his gf and tell her not to wear such skimpy clothes. It's also her fault lor.

Whenever there are people who look at zaogeng girls or what, most people will say its the guys' fault. But if the girls dont dress in that way to attract such unwanted attention.. Nothing will happen right?

Speaking from the feminine side, if you dare to wear so skimpy, dont be afraid to have such unwanted attention or even to be zaogenged. Cos its the female's fault. If so scared, don't wear. If bf is the sort of overzealous kind, all the more dont wear, else bf will bash up any guys that check gf out!

On whether what the boy did was wrong is debatable.If he takes shots discreetly such as trying to shoot an upskirt, he has committed a crime.

On the other hand, taking someone's photo in the open and with the full knowledge of the other party is NOT a crime.Else we will have reporters going to jail when they snap celebrities leaving the courtroom, for example.If this is the case, the man can be charged.

i dont agree with u, bro. no offence though. women have the right to wear whatever they want, so long that it is not indecent exposure. but taking an upskirt photo or plainly taking a photo without consent is against the privacy laws here. the subject in the photo has every right to demand that the pic be deleted.

no such thing as 引人犯罪... arent we supposed to be civilised human beings able to differentiate from right and wrong??? do u see the upskirt videos posted here??? sometimes i wonder how i would feel if my loved one is the one who is a victim of it...

the woman? for being scantily-clad?
the man? for walloping the boy?
the boy? for taking pictures of an unknown woman with his camera phone?
the boy's parents? for giving money to the boy to buy a camera phone?
the phone manufacturer? for manufacturing camera phones?
the phone distributor? for selling such phones?
the boy's teacher? for not teaching the boy not to take pictures of scantily-dressed women?
the gahment? for not imposing fines on the use of camera phones in taking pictures of women in public?




then, what about the fella who took the picture as shown in threadstarter's post? did the man walloped him as well?

also, would the man come in here and wallop threadstarter for posting the image here?
