Syphilis forever

Those who kana syphilis before and cured... how do you all explain to wife or gf if they found out?

Because syphilis will always show positive in blood test results right??

If gf or wife family needs blood and ask you to donate...then doc says cannot... becos of this issue.... how?

I read that there could be lingering antibodies for up to several months in certain cases after the infection is cured, but I have never heard that it will show forever?

Not everyone tests positive for antibodies for life.

Get yourself tested to see what the result is and take it from there.

If you test negative (no trace of antibodies) then you're clear to donate blood.

If you test positive then you'll just have to explain that you caught and were cured of syphilis a long time ago way before you met wife/girlfriend.

How about after married liao.... negative.. then after years becomes positive?

The it either means you have caught a new syphilis infection

OR

A different test method is being used.

The test will not reveal when you caught the infection just say you were a naughty boy when you were young long before you met her.

well thats very possible in Singapore, however its not like those are publicly accessible records. Its probably only the CDC. However I dont think you dont need to worry too much about it showing in your blood once you are cured. Most likely it wont be an issue. Worry when worry is due.
